The valve (114) is operable to move the fuel cooler (104) from (1) a position within the circuit in which it cools fuel leaving the diesel engine (100) and going to the fuel tank (102) to (2) a position in which it cools fuel leaving the fuel tank (102) and going to the diesel engine (100) and vice versa.
