The surface may be placed over a crushed aggregate layer which provides drainage to an area and may also contain a separator layer to prevent the passage of particulate material from the composition. Furthermore, a method of manufacturing the same is disclosed.

    Abstract: A recreational and sport surface which contains a particulate composition containing an intimate mixture of sand, polyolefin fibers, polyolefin particles, tire fibers and a coating of wax on the ingredients of the composition.
