    Abstract: A method of removing a liquid entrained in a gas moving at a velocity in an upward direction from a base to a top of a stack comprising the steps of imparting a swirling direction to the velocity of the gas adjacent the base of the stack and then recovering at least some of the liquid adjacent the top of the stack. Also disclosed is an apparatus for removing a liquid entrained in a gas in a stack having a base and a top comprising at least one duct having a longitudinal axis entering the stack adjacent said base and at least one vertical vane disposed at and angled to the longitudinal axis of the duct and a collector adjacent the top of the stack for recovering liquid.
