  • Patent number: 6145652
Abstract: A vibrating conveying system having a plurality of rotating shafts and associated eccentric weights uses a sliding eccentric weight or weights mounted on one or more driving shafts to reverse the movement of the articles carried by the conveyor. The sliding weights move between first and second spaced positions relative to the driving shaft when the rotation of the driving shaft is reversed and are latched into place once in the selected positions preventing further movement while the apparatus is operating.

  • Patent number: 5404996
Abstract: A vibratory drive system for a vibratory conveyor apparatus is operable to selectively vary the displacement of the drive system between zero and a maximum displacement while the drive system is operating imparting a vibratory conveying force to the conveyor apparatus. A vibratory conveyor apparatus having a vibratory drive system operable to vary the displacement of the drive system and, therefore, the displacement imparted to the vibratory apparatus between zero and a maximum displacement, while the drive system is operating imparting a conveying force to the conveyor apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5109633
Abstract: A vibratory tumbling and conveying apparatus for surface treating workpieces by tumbling the workpieces in a vibrating bed of surface treating media. The apparatus comprises an elongated housing having an arcuate bottom wall concaving facing the interior of the housing. A vibratory generating device is structurally associated with the housing and generates a vibratory force imparted to the housing comprising a force couple component having a moment constantly varying in magnitude between zero and a maximum, and a linear component constantly varying in magnitude between a maximum and zero. The magnitude of the force couple component and the magnitude of the linear force component vary inversely to one another. The vibrating force imparted to the housing causes points on the concave side of the arcuate surface to move in an ellipical path having its major axis disposed at an acute angle to the imaginary line tangent to the arcuate surface at the point.

  • Patent number: 4781403
Abstract: An articulated conduit coupling for attaching two conduits together so that the conduits can move or vibrate in a generally radial direction relative to each other without rupturing the conduits includes a first conduit section which is coaxial to a second conduit section. The second conduit section has one end which is sized to be concentrically received within one end of the first conduit section. The articulated conduit coupling also includes two radially extending pivot pins in diametrical alignment with each other projecting through the walls of the overlapped section conduit section and overlapping first conduit section so that the first and second conduit sections can move relative to each other in a direction 90 degrees to the axis of the pivot pins.
