    Abstract: The present invention pertains to a machine dishwashing or rinsing composition being substantially free from anionic synthetic detergents or fatty acid soaps, and having a very low or zero phosphate content, which comprises a nonionic detergent surfactant, a water-soluble calcium sequestering agent, a specific polymeric material and an alkaline detergent material, said composition having improved non-filming, non-spotting or non-streaking properties.
