Abstract: A bookend system that has first and second relatively moveable members. Each moveable member has a substantially planar vertical surface for engaging objects to be held therebetween and a horizontal leg. The horizontal leg of the first member has a central open are with opposed parallel interior edges which receives the horizontal leg of the second member, which has interfitting opposed parallel edges. The adjacent edges of the first member and the second member are connected by at least one joiner that slidably captures the parallel edges. The joiner may take the configuration of an I-beam, having upper and lower flanges joined together by a central web. In such an embodiment, the opposed parallel edges of the first and second members are captured in a slot formed between the flanges of the joiner.

Abstract: An organizer such as a binder, tablet cover or other protective cover, with a built in loose paper storage system independent of the holding mechanism for the sheets or objects included therein. The system allows for the storage of a reasonably large number of papers, and allows for organization of those loose papers in a manner which is generally similar to that of papers in the sheet holding mechanism. This system allows for easy organization of materials which are not adapted for use with the sheet holding mechanism while maintaining the standard functionality of the organizer for papers that are useable with the sheet holding mechanism.

Abstract: Herein is discussed a binder with pockets formed on both the inside and outside of the cover. The pockets may be formed by wrapping a single sheet of material around the bottom, or other, edge of the binder cover. The binder pockets may also be decorative by forming the binder of a transparent or translucent material and by forming the pockets of a translucent or opaque material so they are visible through the cover, and/or through the opposing pocket.

Abstract: A soft-shell bag comprising a flexible outer shell and including a removable resilient liner for placement inside the shell to provide the resultant bag with a resilient structure and with a barrier for protecting the flexible shell's construction materials from the contents of the bag.
