    Abstract: A weed extracting tool includes an elongated shaft having a handle at its upper end and a cutting head at its lower end. The cutting head includes a tubular housing and a semi-circular blade depending from the housing. An ejector device is reciprocable within the tubular housing for clearing weeds and soil from the cutting head. The ejector is biased to an extended position by means of a compression spring. A latching device holds the ejector in a retracted position against the bias of the spring.
