  • Publication number: 20220383541
Abstract: Various embodiments relate to unmanned vehicle navigation. A navigation system may include one or more processors configured to communicatively couple with an unmanned vehicle. The one or more processors may be configured to receive an image from the unmanned vehicle and detect a feature within the image. The one or more processors may be further be configured to determine a location of the unmanned vehicle based on the feature and convey one or more commands to the unmanned vehicle based on the location of the unmanned vehicle. Associated methods and computer-readable medium are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220275669
Abstract: A door latch assembly is positionable between an unlatched position, an intermediate position, and a latched position. The door latch assembly includes a housing, a drive mechanism disposed within the housing, a rotor pivotally coupled to the housing and disposed therein, and a catch assembly pivotally coupled to the housing and disposed therein. The rotor has an outer surface which forms at least two notches. A bearing is rotatably coupled to the catch assembly. In the unlatched position, the bearing is located in contact with the outer surface but not within either of the at least two notches. In the intermediate position, the bearing is located in a first notch and in the latched position the bearing is located in a second notch.

  • Patent number: 7929711
Abstract: Pathological binaural phase time delay (PBTD) asynchrony is measured at a variety of frequencies and speech stimuli to develop a BPTD profile for a subject. A corrective device (600, 1000) is designed to apply clinical PBTD to compensate for the subject's pathological BPTD. An electronic device (500) is used to measure the subject's ability to comprehend words at a variety of relative time delays between ears to estimate the ideal overall relative time delay. The optimal relative phase shift at a variety of frequencies is also measured. An electronic device (600) may be used to correct the pathological BPTD by delaying sound in different frequency bands differently to the target ear, according to the BPTD profile, or a passive filtered earplug (1000) may be used to correct smaller amounts of BPTD.

  • Patent number: 7580816
Abstract: Apparatus and methods of creating sketch-based eggcrate substructures for manufacturing composite parts are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of creating a design includes providing an input model from a plurality of inputs, including providing a layout geometry, and providing a specification data structure. A resolution model of the input model is created, including interpolating the layout geometry, and interpolating the specification data structure. The method further includes finalizing a layout using the resolution model, and providing one or more solid components into the finalized resolution model to create the design. Embodiments of the invention enable rapid configuration of designs either interactively, non-interactively, or through combinations of both, and may reduce the time, labor, and expense associated with the development of such designs.

  • Publication number: 20020104710
Abstract: A mobile safety net for scaffolding comprising an elongated border member defining a closed interior area, a mesh structure defining a grid bounded by the border member along the entire length of the border member, and a plurality of connecting devices connected along the periphery of the border member for securing and releasing the mobile safety net to and from the scaffolding.

  • Patent number: 4933980
Abstract: A sound effects generator including a pair of digitally programmable sound generators, each of which is independently and dynamically controlled by a programmed digital signal processor through a control logic interface. Each programmable sound generator includes three intermediate signal channels providing respective digital noise and tone signals. Each intermediate signal channel, moreover, includes a mixer for blending the respective noise and tone signals as desired. Each intermediate channel output is also individually shaped or modulated by one of a plurality of distinct waveforms which digitally control the amplitude period and/or frequency thus generating an envelope of noise and/or sound to produce a particular sound or audible effect which is then converted to an analog output.

  • Patent number: 4896889
Abstract: A board game includes a playing board with a playing surface formed as a rectangular grid of multiple rows and columns of recesses. A multiplicity of playing pieces are dimensioned to seat within the recesses and have a body portion about the periphery of which are repetitions of an indicium, such as a letter of the alphabet, and each repetition is in a distinct color. In game play a first player may place a multiplicity of playing pieces in aligned recesses to construct a cognizable linear array of indicia such as a word, and each playing piece displays its indicium in a preselected color associated with that player. The second player may place at least one playing piece in an empty recess adjacent one of the recesses utilized by the linear array of the first player and thus create a new cognizable linear array incorporating the added indicium which is rotated to display the repetition of the indicium in a color associated with the second player.
