  • Patent number: 10402807
Abstract: A payment processing system is configured to support purchase transactions generated by merchant point-of-sale (POS) devices. Information regarding the purchase transactions is archived and periodically analyzed using machine learning to create a predictive model relating transaction attributes to bank interchange fees. The predictive model is then used to estimate interchange fees that are later passed on to merchants. This allows more accurate settlement with merchants in situations where reports regarding actual interchange fees are not yet available.

  • Patent number: 10368181
Abstract: Audio content coded for a reference speaker configuration is downmixed to downmix audio content coded for a specific speaker configuration. One or more gain adjustments are performed on individual portions of the downmix audio content coded for the specific speaker configuration. Loudness measurements are then performed on the individual portions of the downmix audio content. An audio signal that comprises the audio content coded for the reference speaker configuration and downmix loudness metadata is generated. The downmix loudness metadata is created based at least in part on the loudness measurements on the individual portions of the downmix audio content.

  • Patent number: 10274104
Abstract: Hot water heater systems and methods for monitoring electronic mixing valves of hot water heater systems are provided. An electronic mixing valve provides a flow of water in a mixed output line. A method includes determining whether an output flow event is occurring, determining a first temperature value for water in the mixed output line when the output flow event is occurring, comparing the first temperature value to a setpoint temperature value to obtain a first temperature error value when the output flow event is occurring, and generating a failure signal when the first temperature error value is outside of a predetermined error range and the output flow event is occurring.
