  • Publication number: 20100091790
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a patch identification beacon (PIB) device that can enable location tracking with reduced time and cost. The PIB device can include a first interface coupled to a network. The first interface can be configured to receive signals from the network, and transmit signals to the network. Further, the PIB device can include a second interface coupled to an electronic device, and a controller configured to govern the first interface to transmit a programmable identifier associated with the electronic device over the network.

  • Patent number: 7697531
Abstract: A method and apparatus that routes packets in a network is disclosed. The method may include receiving a packet from a first communication device in the network requesting an IP address, determining if another communication device owns the requested IP address, wherein if another communication device does not own the requested IP address, giving the IP address to the first communication device, otherwise, if it is determined that a second communication device is claiming ownership of the IP address, determining whether the first communication device or the second communication device owns the IP address using an address request authority percentage protocol (ARAPP) function, wherein based on the results of the ARAPP function, the first communication device is given the IP address, otherwise the IP address request from the first communication device is denied.

  • Publication number: 20080021220
Abstract: Provided are mono- and diimide naphthalene compounds for use in the fabrication of various device structures. In some embodiments, the naphthalene core of these compounds are mono-, di-, or tetra-substituted with cyano group(s) or other electron-withdrawing substituents or moieties. Such mono- and diimide naphthalene compounds also can be optionally N-substituted.

  • Patent number: 6282750
Abstract: A gear driven dial indicator is used to indicate the door closer size for a door closer having an adjustable closing force. A drive gear is attached to the door closer adjustment screw. In the preferred embodiment, this drive gear engages a ring gear which is formed as part of the dial indicator. As the door closer adjustment screw is turned to change the door closer size, the drive gear turns with the adjustment screw. The drive gear then turns the planetary gear which turns the dial indicator, thereby changing the indicated size of the door closer.
