  • Patent number: 8699685
Abstract: The present invention relates to managing communication events in a Communication System at least comprising a first communication device (1), associated with a first user named Caller; a second communication device (2), associated with a second user named Callee; a central component, named Gatekeeper (3), being connected to said first and second communication devices (1, 2) to mediate communication connections between the Caller and the Callee, wherein said Gatekeeper (3) is also connected to said users' workstations (1, 2). A method is provided for reducing or preventing a negative impact of communication-based interruptions on a user's work. The invention relates to the case that a communication connection is established and, therefor, proposes to initiate state-saving actions on the workstation (1, 2) of at least one user involved in said communication.

  • Patent number: 8272033
Abstract: A user authentication system is provided that is suitable for detecting and controlling potentially fraudulent login behavior. A pattern recording module is configured to record login attempts and to detect a pattern of login attempt results. An analyzing module is operatively connected to the pattern recording module and is configured to determine whether or not the pattern of login attempt results has an indicator of at least one abnormal pattern range. An action module is operatively connected to the analyzing module and is configured to perform at least one action, including adjusting a threshold value of the abnormal pattern range for a subsequent pattern of login attempt results if the pattern of login attempt results has an indicator of a predetermined abnormal pattern range.

  • Patent number: 7979705
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for comfortably operating chipcard applications in a chipcard application system. It is proposed to define at least one trusted terminal device (12) in a trusted environment for a Chipcard (10) in use with which the card holder verification (CHV) dialogue is suppressed and the CHV operation is performed in the system hidden from the user. Either, the trusted terminal ID is stored on the chip of the chipcard, or, the Chipcard ID (22) is stored on a trusted terminal together with the PIN (Personal Identification Number) of the card holder. Such an association can help to suppress the CHV dialogue in a trusted environment.

  • Patent number: 7925992
Abstract: A method and system to provide selection of entries in input fields, such as email client, includes pre-processing a list of potential addresses before the list is shown to a user by eliminating less important or invalid entries, and then displaying a list of entries for selection to the user in a format which highlights the most probable address to support selection of a “right” address.

  • Publication number: 20050138550
Abstract: Web content provided in any mark-up language includes multiple web content pieces, each of which can be unformatted or formatted according to a formatting directive. The present invention teaches to apply to each formatted web content piece that consists of a specific formatting directive and formatting content one or more device-dependent size calculation factors. These factors assist in the prediction of how much space the formatted web content will consume on a particular device's screen. According to another embodiment, the consumed space prediction for web content can be employed to distribute the web content to the device.
