  • Publication number: 20180069416
Abstract: A wind and solar powered Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) rental outlet specifically configured to offer electric bicycles, SEGWAYS, Personal mobility scooters and other such personal electric modes of transportation for rental in any remote, off-grid location served by the tourist industry, such as islands and beach resorts, and in other locations that typically do not have access to the electrical infrastructure to offer such a rental service. This LEV rental outlet is equipped with enough battery storage so as to allow for the multiple use of each personal electric vehicle on an hourly basis over the course of a day. The LEV rental outlet is configured entirely within an ISO Standard Shipping Container so as to be transportable on commercial container ship. This allows the LEV rental outlet it to be deployed and operated in any location in the world without the need of supporting infrastructure.

  • Publication number: 20170051730
Abstract: A Relative Superluminal Propulsion Drive that allows for the electro-mechanical means by which a vehicle of mass can be accelerated to and maintain a relative velocity greater than the universal constant C (299,792,458 meters/second, the speed of light in a vacuum) between two fixed points in space when measured from a third fixed point in space. The propulsion drive is an array of electro-mechanical antennas positioned on the forward and aft portion of the vehicle and provides for the force of acceleration to the vehicle by lowering the pressure and density of the energy state of the area in front of the vehicle and increasing the pressure and density of the energy state behind the vehicle through the collection and re-distribution of that part of the electro-magnetic spectrum responsible for maintaining the average pressure density of the void energy of space.

  • Publication number: 20160003289
Abstract: A filament wound composite tie rod and method for fabricating the same includes end fittings coupled to a structural member tube and held by a filament-wound structure. The end fittings include lugs to guide and hold the filament at proper angles while holding the filament in place on the end fittings. The filament wound composite tie rod provides both higher tension and/or higher compressive load carrying capability than existing tie rods at a significantly reduced weight.

  • Publication number: 20150308472
Abstract: An adhesive-potted fastener and method for using such to join honeycomb core panels, where one of the two panels is secured on edge, at an angle to the surface of the second panel, includes a fastener having a head, cavity, threads, and through holes for the infusion of the adhesive potting compound. The fastener secures to the unreinforced honeycomb core in the honeycomb core panel normal to the surface of the second honeycomb core panel, holding the panels together until a proper amount of adhesive potting compound is flowed the interior of both panels. After curing of the adhesive potting compound, the physical attributes serve as a structural force-bearing member of an adhesive joint between the two honeycomb core panels in tension, torque and shear.

  • Publication number: 20110187112
Abstract: A Hydro-kinetically Powered Electrical Generator Power Head (HyPEG PH) is disclosed which converts unimpeded run-of-river, ocean and tidal flow currents into useful mechanical power on an infinitely variable scale. This innovative design can be used with other hydropower devices, especially those that are designed to remain completely submerged and require no additional permanent structures to be built on land (or in the water). This invention has no fast moving components and it has little to no ecological impact to the aquatic environment. This invention is designed to operate well below river traffic navigating on the surface and withstand foreign object damage due to debris floating under the surface. It is compliant to, and is designed to work with, other modular hydrokinetic power electrical generation systems that use vertical axis, horizontally rotating power heads from which they extract mechanical energy to convert to useful electrical energy.

  • Publication number: 20110018277
Abstract: A Hydrokinetic Electrical Power Generation Station (HEPGS) is disclosed which converts unimpeded river, ocean and tidal flow currents into useful electrical power on a very large scale (>6 MW each). This innovative approach requires no additional structures to be built on land (or in the water), there are no fast moving components and it has little to no ecological impact to the aquatic environment. They are designed to operate well below river traffic navigating on the surface and withstand the impact of debris floating under it. They are modular in construction which allows for the setup, upgrade, monitoring and any unexpected maintenance using conventional barging technology. They can be used as the soul source of electrical power for communities close to flowing rivers (or ocean currents) or they can supplement existing power generation stations located near large rivers thus helping to reduce (and eliminate) their use of non-renewable fuel.

  • Patent number: 7682256
Abstract: A composite shaft assembly may include a shaft body and a flange. The shaft body may include a filament and the flange may include an external surface having a plurality of lugs extending therefrom. A first and second of the plurality of lugs may have an axial spacing therebetween. The filament may be wound between the first and second lugs.

  • Patent number: 6994195
Abstract: A clutch mechanism connects a rotating shaft to an outer clutch member having a clutch keyway. The clutch mechanism permits the shaft to rotate in a normal direction and prevents the shaft from rotating in a reverse direction when the outer clutch member is rotationally fixed to the housing. A key is moveable into an engaged position with the clutch keyway to rotationally fix the outer clutch member to the housing. The key is also moveable into a disengaged position to permit the outer clutch member to rotate relative to the housing. Thus, the shaft is permitted to rotate in both the normal direction and the reverse direction. A positive, mechanical and/or visual indication of whether the shaft is capable of operating in both directions may also be included. The assembly may include a sealed interior space in common with the machine including the shaft.
