Patent number: 12140165Abstract: A device for holding a hydraulic cylinder stem in position includes a hydraulic block having series-connected primary and secondary check valves. The latter includes a secondary control stem having a secondary valve body and a seal. A first throttle upstream and a second throttle downstream are closed in a secondary control stem closed position where the seal tightly blocks the secondary check valve, each throttle having a tiny throttle closing gap, preferably 0.1 mm or less. The control stem can move axially into an intermediate position where the throttles remain closed, that is, have a tiny closing gap, but valve body and seal are lifted from a secondary valve seat. The control stem can be moved further into an opening position where the throttles are open, each having an opening gap much larger than the closing gap, and the valve body and seal are lifted from the valve seat.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2021Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: Neumeister Hydraulik GmbHInventor: Michael Weis

Patent number: 10945323Abstract: This disclosure includes systems, methods, and techniques for controlling a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). For example, a circuit includes a switching device, where the switching device is electrically connected to an LED of the plurality of LEDs, and where the switching device is configured to control whether the LED receives an electrical signal from a power source. Additionally, the circuit includes processing circuitry configured to determine that the LED is associated with a bright failure condition by attempting to prevent the LED from receiving the electrical signal from the power source using the switching device and disable the LED in response to detecting the bright failure condition.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2020Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: Infineon Technologies AGInventors: Adolfo De Cicco, Michael Weis, Gernot Unterweger, Rosario Chiodo, Dietrich Bonart

Publication number: 20110116698Abstract: A method and system for fully automatic segmentation the prostate in multi-spectral 3D magnetic resonance (MR) image data having one or more scalar intensity values per voxel is disclosed. After intensity standardization of multi-spectral 3D MR image data, a prostate boundary is detected in the multi-spectral 3D MR image data using marginal space learning (MSL). The detected prostate boundary is refined using one or more trained boundary detectors. The detected prostate boundary can be split into patches corresponding to anatomical regions of the prostate and the detected prostate boundary can be refined using trained boundary detectors corresponding to the patches.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2010Publication date: May 19, 2011Applicant: Siemens CorporationInventors: Michael Weis, Michael Suehling, Michael Kelm, Sascha Seifert, Maria Jimena Costa, Alexander Cavallaro, Martin Huber, Dorin Comaniciu
