  • Publication number: 20220176667
Abstract: A forming and/or separating device 10 as well as a method for operating the same and particularly a method for checking of an undisturbed operation of the forming and/or separating device 10. The forming and/or separating device 10 is configured to process an initial workpiece 12 in a working area 19 between two tool parts 14, 15 in a chipless forming manner. An image-capturing sensor 20 captures the working area 19 and can capture at least one captured image B during the operation of the forming and/or separating device 10. An evaluation unit 24 compares the at least one captured image B with at least one reference image R or a reference model, if the forming and/or separating device 10 is in a defined operating condition. Based on the comparison it is checked whether a disturbance exists.

  • Publication number: 20190161819
Abstract: A method to produce a component from a workpiece via a press which includes at least one die to form the workpiece. The workpiece comprises at least one of a metal, a metal alloy and a coating and has a form of a hollow part. The method includes internal high-pressure forming and/or hydraulic back-pressure forming the workpiece via a fluid and the at least one die at a temperature below a first hardening temperature of the workpiece, and subsequently partially or completely hardening the workpiece by heating the workpiece above the first hardening temperature and then immediately cooling the workpiece. The heating and the cooling are each essentially conducted without a forming so that a fabricated component results.

  • Patent number: 10046368
Abstract: A device and a method for processing parent parts and for sorting waste parts thereby separated. For this purpose, an optical detection unit is provided, which is configured to detect at least one geometric feature G of each waste part and to generate a control signal S corresponding to the at least one detected geometric feature G. The control signal S is transmitted to a sorting unit. The fed waste part is sorted depending on the received control signal S. It is thus possible to assign the separated waste parts to a specific parent part. This in turn enables an assignment and determination of the material of which the waste part consists, which specifically corresponds to the material of which the parent part consists. This enables the waste parts to be separated into different categories.

  • Publication number: 20180078990
Abstract: A method for producing a formed part. The method includes providing a metal sheet made of a metal. The metal sheet is formed as a planar base body having a material thickness that is less than length measurements of a surface of the metal sheet. The metal sheet has a larger surface both on a top side and on a bottom side than surfaces determining the material thickness. A material-bonded application is performed by applying a foreign structure onto the surface of the metal sheet. The metal sheet is formed after applying the foreign structure to provide the formed part.

  • Patent number: 8893540
Abstract: The invention relates to a component, a method, and a tool for forming, in particular for the lateral extrusion or upsetting of thin-walled preforms to form components having a structure formed thereon, in particular having a toothing, wherein, by carrying out the method according to the invention and by using the tool according to the invention, buckling of the wall of the preform during the forming process to form the component according to the invention is prevented.
