  • Publication number: 20170008380
Abstract: A vehicle side window shade for mounting on the side window to block the sun and heat from entering the vehicle through the side window. It comprises a foldable, opaque cloth, with a plurality of thin, rigid yet flexible tabs attached to at least one of its edges. Installing the sunshade on a car's side window is done by wedging the tabs vertically into the upper edge of the window's frame, such that the top of each tab is pressed between the window's glass and the flexible rubber seal which lines the window's frame in the door. The novelty of the invention lies in the combination of a foldable cloth and rigid yet flexible tabs, forming an effective and convenient vehicle side window shade.

  • Patent number: 9489460
Abstract: Aspects and embodiments are directed to systems and methods for managing validated information. Validated information can leverage previous research on an issue, track social interaction around the issue, and simplify any request from information on the same or related problems. Additionally, validated information can include background information on an issue being addressed (e.g., a tech support question), information on how the issue was resolved, links to source information used to resolve the issue, and can provide information on whether the resolution continues to be effective for other users. According to some embodiments, validated information can be organized into answer objects configured to provide an answer to a technical question.

  • Publication number: 20130206055
Abstract: A bookmark which automatically holds a reader's place in a book, which may serve also as a decorative paper clip. The bookmark is made of two flat plates, on which an elastic band is mounted. When used as an automatic bookmark, the plates are mounted on a corner of the book's last page, and the elastic band is stretched to rest diagonally over a corner of any given page of the book. The elastic band serves both to mark the page being presently read, and to press the two plates firmly against each other, tightly clenching the corner of the book's last page. When used as a paper clip, several pages are clamped between the two plates. The plates may be made of plastic sheet. They may be cut from discarded credit card, or incorporated into the plastic carrier framing SIM card.

  • Publication number: 20070093760
Abstract: Disclosed is a syringe including a wound dressing for arresting bleeding and/or providing a barrier against microorganisms at a needle insertion point on the skin of a patient. The wound dressing is releasably integrated with the syringe. In some embodiments, the syringe includes a bandage disposed on the posterior end of the needle hub of the syringe such that the needle extends through the bandage. In other embodiments the syringe includes a reservoir containing a dressing substance. The dressing may be adhered, or otherwise applied, to the skin of the patient proximate the needle insertion point prior to withdrawing the needle of the syringe from the patient. As the needle is withdrawn, the dressing remains at the insertion point on the skin of the patient to arrest bleeding and/or provide a barrier against microorganisms at the wound site.
