  • Patent number: 11837036
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide an integrated access control system. The integrated access control system includes both credential reader functionality and door controller functionality in the same package. In embodiments, the circuitry is miniaturized to fit within a standard “single gang” box such as those used for a standard light switch or receptacle. In this way, the integrated access control system of disclosed embodiments installs easily and unobtrusively in standard sized openings. To operate in a confined area such as a single gang box enclosure, a variety of thermal management and power management techniques are employed to provide reliable operation.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10102700
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for entry access synchronization. A lock interface module is installed at a premises and is in communication with one or more electronic locks. The lock interface module is in electronic communication with an access management system. Changes in access permissions made from the access management system are quickly propagated to the electronic locks by the lock interface module.

  • Patent number: 9747738
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an improved access control unit with an asymmetric transmission pattern. A shielded backplate reduces the interior transmission pattern. The secure side transmission pattern is much smaller than the unsecure side transmission pattern, such that a credential located within the secure side area of a building is not likely to trigger the access control unit, thus reducing the risk of an unauthorized access.

  • Patent number: 8527613
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are provided for remotely updating provisioning data in devices or a population of devices. An update message is generated that includes an Object Identifier (OID) that uniquely identifies eligible devices or components for the provisioning data update. If an eligible device receives the update message, then the new provisioning data is loaded on the device, thereby replacing the old provisioning data on the device.
