    Abstract: A method is provided, including prior to initial power-up of a device, receiving via a wireless electronic communication channel, at the device, customization assignment data identifying customization module(s) of a plurality of customization modules stored on the device that each include programmed instructions configured to cause the device to have a different device customization. Prior to initial power-up of the device, the customization assignment data is recorded by the device. After and/or in response to an initial power-up of the device, the identified customization module(s) are selected by firmware of the device from the plurality of customization modules using the customization assignment data.
