  • Patent number: 11236659
Abstract: The invention relates to a diagnostic method for checking the functionality of a component for the exhaust-gas aftertreatment of an internal combustion engine. For this purpose, in an internal combustion engine, a secondary air supply is provided by means of which an excess of oxygen can be generated in the exhaust gas channel essentially independently of the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine, and wherein said excess of oxygen is utilized for the measurement of an oxygen storage capacity of the component or of a signal change at the component. It is provided that the component is subsequently subjected to a substoichiometric exhaust gas in order that the oxygen release capacity or the signal change upon a change from superstoichiometric exhaust gas to a substoichiometric exhaust gas is also taken into consideration in the diagnosis. The invention also relates to a device for exhaust-gas aftertreatment, which is designed to be able to carry out a method of said type.

  • Patent number: 8361050
Abstract: Described is a spring-loaded cartridge cap for use in a drug infusion pump. The cap is ejected if it is not properly inserted into the pump. In one embodiment, the cap includes three detent pins that mate with detents in a cartridge chamber within the drug infusion pump. As the cap is inserted into the cartridge chamber of the drug infusion pump, the distal end of the cartridge compresses a coil spring within the cap. To secure the cap within the cartridge chamber, the cap is rotated such that each detent pin moves within a slot until a locking detent is engaged.

  • Patent number: 7435922
Abstract: Described is a keypad and its method of manufacture. In one embodiment, a keypad is provided that includes a substrate having a plurality of donut-shaped recesses located at each site of a button for inputting user information, a plurality of cushions each filled with an incompressible fluid (e.g., water), a flex circuit layer, a plurality of metal membranes and an over-molded thermoplastic elastomer layer. During the over-molding of the thermoplastic elastomer layer, the plurality of cushions filled with an incompressible fluid prevents collapse of the space between the flex circuit layer and the plurality of metal membranes. After the layers of the keypad are assembled, the incompressible fluid is removed which leaves a space between the flex circuit layer and the plurality of metal membranes.
