  • Patent number: 11904688
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for calculating an overlay of additional information for a display on a display unit. The overlay of additional information may support the driver in the longitudinal control of a vehicle. The overlaying of the additional information may be configured in the form of augmented reality such that it is calculated in a contact analogue manner in relation to one or more objects in the environment of the vehicle. When approaching a vehicle, a spatially extended animation graphic is calculated, wherein the animation graphic has a grid shape consisting of a plurality of grid elements, which extends from the observer vehicle up to the oncoming or preceding vehicle. The spatial extension is calculated such that the driver of the observer vehicle (10) has the impression of a kinematic or dynamic movement of the spatial extension, such as translation and rotation.

  • Patent number: 11845463
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for the improved visualization of a notice in a motor vehicle. A contact-analog head-up display places information in direct contact with the environment. In contrast to conventional head-up displays, the information appears as part of the environment. Some embodiments provide an information container that is placed at a distance x from the vehicle which grows corresponding to the reduction of the distance x, and is placed fixed relative to the environment to produce the effect of a container located in reality. The necessity of an interaction may be communicated by the element remaining stationary. That is, shortly before the position of the information container is reached, it remains immobile in the field of vision and is “pushed” in front of the ego vehicle. This makes it immediately apparent that an operation is needed to acknowledge the pop-up respectively to thereby trigger an action.

  • Publication number: 20230324197
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for displaying a virtual three-dimensional navigation map in a vehicle. A surface of an interior is determined for the vehicle, and a three-dimensional navigation map is loaded. The three-dimensional navigation map is automatically adjusted to the surface, and the adjusted three-dimensional navigation map is represented together with a representation of an ego position of the means of transportation as a virtual, raised model on the surface via an augmented reality display device.

  • Patent number: 11731509
Abstract: A method for displaying a trajectory course in front of a transportation vehicle or object. The trajectory course is shown on a display unit and is represented in grid format. The points of the grid are represented by symbols, wherein only the border thereof or the completely filled-in symbols are represented based on the environmental features. The size and/or color of the symbols is adjustable.

  • Patent number: 11486726
Abstract: A method for calculating an overlay of additional information for a display on a display unit, in particular, a head-up display of a transportation vehicle or data glasses. The overlay of additional information supports the driver in the longitudinal control of a transportation vehicle. The position of an upcoming waypoint is detected, which is specified by the navigation system. When the observer transportation vehicle approaches the waypoint, an animation graphic is calculated, wherein the animation graphic has a grid shape. The animation graphic is calculated so that distance markers are inserted from the observer transportation vehicle to the waypoint, which permit estimation of the distance to the waypoint.

  • Publication number: 20220277496
Abstract: A park assistance system for a motor vehicle is presented that has a distance sensor system for generating a sensor signal depending on a lateral distance to an object. A computing unit of the park assistance system generates graphics data based on the sensor signal, and contains an augmented reality system for superimposing a graphic element onto a field of view of a driver. An extension of the graphic element along a vertical axis depends on a value of the distance.

  • Publication number: 20220105805
Abstract: A head-up display and methods for providing a lane-related visual assistance function with a head-up display for a motor vehicle. Information is obtained regarding a driving lane currently travelled on by a motor vehicle. A characteristic value is obtained, which describes an uncertainty regarding the lane-related display of a virtual object serving as a visual assistance function with the head-up display. At least one virtual object is displayed as a visual assistance function, wherein the object is displayed such that it runs along at least a portion of the lane from the perspective of the driver, wherein a length of the object along the lane is defined according to the magnitude of the characteristic value.

  • Patent number: 11049320
Abstract: A method, a device and a computer-readable storage medium with instructions for controlling a display of an augmented reality head-up display device for a motor vehicle as well as an augmented reality head-up display device for a motor vehicle. In a first step, the position for a representation of a virtual object in front of the motor vehicle is determined (20). The virtual object is then superimposed (21), corresponding to the determined position, onto a projection surface by an imaging unit. To increase the subjective perception of the registration quality on the part of the observer, the virtual object is designed to this effect to be fault-tolerant with regard to registration errors.

  • Patent number: 10775634
Abstract: A method for calculating the motion data of the head of a driver of a transportation vehicle wherein the driver is wearing a pair of data glasses. The data glasses are equipped with at least one glasses measurement unit which detects the movements of the head of the driver. The transportation vehicle is equipped with a transportation vehicle measurement unit which detects at least the accelerations of the transportation vehicle. The measured accelerations of the transportation vehicle are transferred wirelessly to the data glasses. The calculation of the head pose is carried out in a special processor unit of the data glasses which includes an implementation of a Kalman filter in which the motion data of the glasses measurement unit, corrected by the motion data of the transportation vehicle measurement unit, are merged with the motion data of an additional glasses measurement unit.

  • Patent number: 10528245
Abstract: A method for designating a subset of a basic set of data records stored in a memory unit and for visualizing at least a part of the designated subset on a display unit. To designate the subset on the display unit, at least two graphically delimited display regions are formed. Objects representing data records from the basic set are displayed in a first display region and the subset of objects designated or to be designated is assigned to a second display region. A subset is designated by highlighting at least one object in the first display region, moving the highlighted at least one object into the second display region and cancelling the highlighting. This allows a highly intuitive designation of a subset of datasets from a basic set. The designation method can be used particularly for generating playback lists of MP3 files.
