  • Patent number: 7950267
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining an LPG fuel output characteristic of an LPG injector. The output characteristic of the LPG can be determined by calculating a total mass of LPG injected into a canister of known volume by the injector during a plurality of open/closed cycles of the injector. The pressure differential and temperature in the canister can be used in the calculation of total LPG mass along with a gas constant of the LPG and the volume of the canister. The total LPG mass can then be used to determine the mass of LPG injected by the injector during each open/closed cycle.

  • Publication number: 20110111149
Abstract: A device for sterilising cuboid-shaped cardboard/plastic combipacks in an autoclave, wherein the packs consisting of product and packing are subjected to heat treatment at a certain temperature over a certain period of time, wherein the product consists of a liquid and chunky portions, and wherein mechanisms are provided inside the autoclave to drive the packs rotationally about a rotational spindle, and a cuboid-shaped cardboard/plastic combipack for use in such a device. A plurality of packs, are arranged closely adjacent to one another in parallel rows, to be arranged on support floors and for a plurality of support floors loaded with packs to be arranged one above the other and fixed in their mutual positions. The cardboard for the pack used therewith is made water-repellent by means of glue to reduce the intake of water.

  • Publication number: 20050198923
Abstract: Illustrated and described are a method and an apparatus for the sterilisation of a product packaged in a packing, where the package (1) comprising the product and the packing is subjected to a heat treatment at a specific temperature and for a specific duration. For protection of the packages (1), that would usually not be able to withstand the conditions in an autoclave, the following steps are used: Introduction of at least one package (1) into a protective casing (2?), Evacuation of the space between protective casing (2?) and package (1), Closing of the protective casing (2?) hermetically, and Autoclaving of the protective casing (2?) and package (1) in an autoclave. The corresponding apparatus is provided with one of each of the following units downstream of the filling unit: one repackaging unit, one evacuation unit, one autoclave unit and, if required, one unpacking unit.

  • Publication number: 20050158530
Abstract: Shown and described is a composite material made of paper or cardboard as a base material with a plastic coating, in particular for light-, gas- and liquid-tight heat-sealable packages, whereby the plastic coating in each case has outer sealing layers and a barrier layer of metal is present between the base material layer and a sealing layer and a method for its production. According to the invention, a composite material should be provided, the base material layer of which is protected in such a way that a package produced therefrom can be sterilised with a product contained therein in an autoclave or such like, wherein the composite material should be produced simply and cost-effectively. This is achieved by the fact that a further barrier layer is provided on the other side of the base material layer.
