  • Publication number: 20210335033
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and computer readable media for performing data conversion on sensor data to obtain modified sensor data that is formatted/structured appropriately for downstream processes that rely on the sensor data as input. The sensor data can include point cloud data captured by a LiDAR, for example. A grid structure and corresponding grid characteristics can be determined and the sensor data can be converted to grid-based sensor data by associating the grid structure and its characteristics with the sensor data. Generating the grid-based sensor data can include reformatting the point cloud data to superimpose the grid structure and its grid characteristics onto the point cloud data. Various downstream processing that cannot feasibly be performed on the raw sensor data can then be performed efficiently on the modified grid-based sensor data by virtue of the grid structure imbuing the sensor data with spatial proximity information.

  • Publication number: 20210321085
Abstract: A passive component for coupling to, and thereby tracking, an intermediary device within a cable television system is disclosed. The passive component includes a tracking circuit separate in functionality from an existing circuit of the intermediary device. The tracking circuit, which is unpowered and uncontrolled, receives a first signal from a first device in the cable television system, modifies the first signal to create a modified signal, and passes the modified first signal to a second device in the cable television system, the second device being configured to determine a type for the intermediary device based on the modification to the first signal. The first device is one of a cable modem or a CMTS, and the second device is the other of the cable modem and the CMTS.

  • Patent number: 11057615
Abstract: A system, method, and/or apparatus may track an intermediary device within a communications system. For example, a first signal may be transmitted from a first device in a communications system to the intermediary device in the communications system. The first signal from the first device may be modified (e.g., by a passive component of the intermediary device) to create a modified signal. The modified signal may be passed by the intermediary device to a second device in the communications system. The second device may be upstream or downstream from the first device and the intermediary device in the communications system. A type for the intermediary device may be determined based on the modification to the first signal. The second device may be configured to determine an identify of the first device associated with the intermediary device.

  • Publication number: 20210092172
Abstract: A content management system allows users to collaboratively edit, draft, or otherwise work with the same content item simultaneously by displaying a real-time data stream of a native application displaying a content item on a host device in a screen sharing window of a webpage. The screen sharing window is capable of receiving edit inputs and sending the edit inputs to a client application on the host device. The edit inputs are provided as interpretable code for the native application for the content item and the client application provides the interpretable code to the native application to have the changes corresponding to the edit inputs incorporated into the content item. Further, the cursors of other users participating in the collaborative editing session are displayed in the screen sharing window to allow each participant to view and follow the changes made by the other participants of the session.

  • Patent number: 10952079
Abstract: A Wi-Fi virtualized network operator (WVNO) function can be created by offering resources of a wireless access point (AP), for example, a Wi-Fi access point, to one or more third party service providers. In one aspect, the AP can broadcast two or more service set identifiers (SSIDs) that are linked to respective service provider over the same frequencies. End user devices (EUDs) located within the coverage area of the AP can select a SSID corresponding to a preferred network and connect to the preferred network via the access point. A routing device can be employed to direct traffic to/from the EUDs and a device of an appropriate network based on the SSID that has been selected.

  • Patent number: 10706242
Abstract: In various embodiments, an RFID Antenna/Tag Location Configuration device (RLC) may facilitate placement of one or more RFID antennas in a physical space. The RLC may collect RFID data from tags determine which of the RFID antennas need to be relocated. The RLC may determine, based on collected RFID data, whether each antenna is a dominant antenna and/or has a substantial read rate. If an antenna is not dominant and/or does not exhibit a substantial read-rate, the RLC ma indicate that the antenna should be relocated. The RLC may also be configured to filter collected RFID data prior to using the data for determination of antennas. The RLC may also determine, using the RFID antennas, a physical location of RFID tags in the physical space using detected signal strength for RFID tags. Additional embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Publication number: 20190334963
Abstract: Described embodiments enable device users sharing content items via a content management system to view and modify content items within native applications on their client devices. In various embodiments, a client application detects a save operation on a content item and prompts a user to provide a comment based on changes to the content item. User comments and metadata are provided to a content management system to create a historical log that provides a comprehensive summary of user interactions with a content item, including comments regarding content item changes, version information, and timestamps. The content management system provides the comments and other log contents to client applications associated with other users sharing the content item. The client applications use the comments and log information to provide notitfications to the users regarding content item changes and comments by sharing users.

  • Patent number: 10430894
Abstract: A computer hosts an online community for a business entity. The community includes multiple feedback interfaces that quantify each user's engagement with the community. Each feedback interface has a distinct interaction time scale, from immediate to a year or more, with intermediate feedback interfaces. The process measures reduction in technical support costs based on the community engagement, and alerts a community manager when too many users are not completing a task for one feedback interface. The manager creates a targeted mission for the appropriate subpopulation of users. The mission specifies an action and a time limit. Completion of the action increases completion of the task. Messages are sent to users in the subpopulation to alert them of the mission. The mission feedback interface provides feedback visually for users in the subpopulation. The mission feedback includes indicators of remaining time and percent completion.
