  • Patent number: 9844418
Abstract: Provided is a system for endodontic treatment of a root canal. The system includes a handpiece containing a rotary motor adapted to rotate an endodontic file secured by the handpiece. A control unit executes a regime of motion of the motor to produce a regime of file motion in which episodes of oscillation of the file are separated by a rotation of the file. When the arc of a rotation is less than the arc of the oscillation that preceded the rotation, the arcs of the episodes of oscillation overlap and the formation of ridges in the root canal is avoided.

  • Patent number: 9740421
Abstract: A just-in-time storage allocation is initiated for storage at a remote storage device having flash storage. Each of multiple containers comprises a grouping of one or more of the flash storage. The just-in-time storage allocation includes an application profile that includes a priority criteria for the storage of either a priority of performance over efficiency or a priority of efficiency over performance. A determination is made of whether at least one container of the multiple containers satisfies the priority criteria based on at least one attribute of the at least one container. The storage is allocated in the at least one container, in response to the at least one container satisfying the priority criteria.

  • Patent number: 9507526
Abstract: A just-in-time storage allocation is initiated for storage at a remote storage device having storage disks. Each of multiple containers comprises a grouping of one or more of the storage disks. The just-in-time storage allocation includes an application profile that includes a priority criteria for the storage of either a priority of performance over efficiency or a priority of efficiency over performance A determination is made of whether at least one container of the multiple containers satisfies the priority criteria based on at least one attribute of the at least one container. • Patent number: 9501322
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing the service and performance levels associated with virtual machines in a storage network environment for compliance with a resource capacity policy are provided. Component configuration and connectivity information from components in the network environment is collected without using host agents on the virtual machines. Access paths defining end-to-end access relationships between an application on a virtual machine and storage data objects associated with the virtual machine in the network environment are derived. Access paths comprise sequences of components configured to enable information flow between an application residing on a virtual machine and a data object on a respective storage device. Access path resource consumption is computed and virtual machines with resource consumptions that violate the resource capacity policy are identified.

  • Publication number: 20160218991
Abstract: Systems and methods provision isolated paths from virtual private clouds to corresponding storage virtual machines. In response to a determination that resources for a first tenant of the virtual private cloud are to be provisioned, a subnet for the virtual private cloud is created, where the subnet does not overlap with any other subnet on a network associated with the virtual private cloud. A first VLAN is created on a gateway communicably coupled to the storage server. A first storage virtual machine (SVM) associated with the tenant is created. One or more storage volumes of one or more storage devices are associated with the SVM, where the one or more storage volumes are not allocated to any other SVM.

  • Patent number: 9377936
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a framework for automated storage processes and flexible workflow are disclosed. The framework provides a user workflow design tool to create and/or customize workflow automation processes without needing to write software code. Additionally, the workflow design tool provides a mechanism that allows the workflow to make decisions, such as selecting storage resources.

  • Patent number: 6425875
Abstract: A device for locating an apex of a root canal of a tooth comprises a first electrode having a conductive probe with a tip adapted for insertion into the root canal, and a second electrode configured to electrically contact a patient's body. The device includes a voltage generator which provides AC test voltage signal, a AC voltage driver with an internal output impedance, and a voltage detector coupled to the electrodes to detect an AC voltage across the first and second electrodes. An electronic controller coupled to the voltage detector calculates the test scores, determines the position of the probe tip on the basis of the test score values, and informs the user of the position of the probe tip in the canal. The position of the probe tip in the root canal is indicated on a display by a marker.
