Abstract: A wearable monitoring unit can provide physiological information indicative of a condition of an individual wearing the unit, or, can provide ambient condition alarm related information, from a displaced ambient condition sensor, to the individual to warn the individual as to the existence of the ambient condition. A plurality of physiological conditions associated with the individual can be monitored along with a plurality of different outputs from displaced ambient condition sensors which are in wireless communication with the monitoring unit. All such information can be automatically presented to the wearer, or, forwarded to a supervisory unit.
