Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of a ring and ring assembly are provided. In one embodiment, a ring assembly is provided having an inner ring, an outer ring having a groove within an inner portion of the outer ring that fits the inner ring, and a mechanism provided on the outer ring allowing the outer ring to be opened to place the inner ring within the outer ring. The outer ring can have an opening through which a jewel on the inner ring can project when the outer ring is closed. The outer ring can have a design that surrounds the jewel on the inner ring.

In some exemplary embodiments, a necklace pendant is provided including a central portion having a left side and a right side, a left inner portion comprising a first left inner portion pivotally connected to a second left inner portion, wherein the second left inner portion is pivotally connected to the left side of the central portion, and a right inner portion comprising a first right inner portion pivotally connected to a second right inner portion, wherein the first right inner portion is pivotally connected to the right side of the central portion. The second left inner portion folds behind the left side of the central portion and the first left inner portion folds behind the second left inner portion, and the first right inner portion folds behind the right side of the central portion and the second right inner portion folds behind the first right inner portion.
