  • Patent number: 9146181
Abstract: A contaminant detection system has a fluid path. A meter and a plurality of fluid conduits are disposed along the fluid path. The meter is configured to detect an operating parameter of a fluid. The plurality of fluid conduits forms a plurality of intermediate fluid paths. Each fluid conduit has a restriction orifice (RO), an inlet control valve, and an outlet control valve. In addition, the plurality of fluid conduits has a control line and an exposed line. The control line is configured to be isolated from the fluid for a time period. The exposed line is configured to be exposed to the fluid for the time period. The system is configured to determine a contaminant concentration of the fluid at least in part using the operating parameter and the time period.
