    Abstract: A messaging application, intended to run on a communication device, that is capable of recording a video clip in response to a predefined motion of the mobile communication device. When the messaging application is opened, and the predefined motion is sensed, a video module included in the messaging application is activated, enabling the recording, saving and insertion of a video message containing the video clip into a messaging chat. In a specific, but non-exclusive embodiment, the predefined motion is a rotation of the communication device from a portrait orientation to a landscape orientation. In other embodiments, other predefined motions may be used.
