  • Patent number: 10466320
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for radio frequency (RF) coils for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems. In one embodiment, a radio frequency coil for a medical imaging device comprises: a first electroconductive section having a first end and an opposing, second end; and a first plurality of notches of the first electroconductive section extending from the first end to the second end across a centerline of the first electroconductive section. In this way, an amount electrical eddy currents produced within the electroconductive surfaces of the RF coil is reduced, thereby decreasing a temperature and vibration of the RF coil.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20150170415
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to computer implemented methods for generating an exterior geometry of a building based on a corresponding collection of interior geometry. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a collection of interior geometry data of a building. The interior geometry data of the building corresponds to one or more levels. Each of the level(s) is associated with a corresponding vertical span, and to one or more 2-D section polygons. The method further includes extruding the 2-D section polygons into 2.5-D section polygons, by assigning to each of the 2-D section polygons, the vertical span associated with the level(s) to which the 2-D section polygons correspond. The method further includes constructing a 2.5-D merged polygon set based on the extruded 2.5-D section polygons. The outer shell of the 2.5-D merged polygon set corresponds to an exterior geometry corresponding to the building.

  • Patent number: 7916423
Abstract: A storage system is provided having at least one storage unit, the storage unit including an electrical power source, a communication source and a cover that defines, at least in part an interior space. The storage system operates with a media blade that comprises a plurality of data storage elements, said media blade moveable in a drawer like motion though a cooperating opening in said cover. The storage system further includes a motion accommodating conductor apparatus connecting said plurality of data storage elements to said electrical power source and said communication source such that power from said electrical power source and communication from said communication source may be provided to said media blade without interruption when said media blade is moved in said drawer like motion outward from at least partially within said interior space.

  • Publication number: 20100123266
Abstract: A method of preventing gravity-induced deformation of a ceramic green body. The method comprises providing a ceramic green body and disposing the body in a fluid medium bath having a density that is greater than or equal to that of the ceramic green body. The green body is suspended and floats freely in the fluid medium, and deformation of the green body due to its own weight is prevented. Outer or peripheral portions of the ceramic green body may also be stiffened when the fluid medium bath comprises an aqueous salt solution comes into contact with the green body and causes gelation of a binder within the ceramic green body.

  • Publication number: 20070230110
Abstract: A storage unit including a frame that defines a storage unit interior space, at least one storage media support structure capable of removably supporting a plurality of storage elements wherein the storage media support structure is adapted to provide a communicating path between the storage elements and the storage unit. The storage media support structure is capable of moving between a retracted position wherein substantially all of the storage elements are within the interior space and an extended position wherein substantially all of the storage elements are external to the interior space. Power and communication are provided to the storage media support structure when the storage media support structure is at or between the retracted and extended positions the power and communication is uninterrupted.
