  • Patent number: 5320492
Abstract: A sealing and retention device for the blades of a rotor which engage with axial pin settings of the rotor wherein the device includes, in a first embodiment, a flange in the shape of a circular collar which engages the rotor and a locking ring which engages the blades and the flange wherein the locking ring has a conical portion which engages a first protuberance portion of the blades such that upon centrifugal sliding of the locking ring in a radially outward direction, the locking ring is axially displaced toward the flange. The device may also include a conical crest located on the rotor and the flange may have a conical surface for engaging the conical crest of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 4818182
Abstract: A system for locking turbine blades onto a turbine wheel is disclosed in which a locking member is disposed totally radially inwardly of the turbine blade platforms, thereby enabling the platforms to define a continuous annular wall. Turbine blades are each inserted through a "window" and circumferentially displaced in a turbine wheel groove until space remains on the circumference of the turbine wheel for three turbine blades. The locking device cooperates with the last three turbine blades to lock the blades in position on the turbine wheel. The locking device is resiliently deformable and has a central portion having a cross-sectional shape generally similar to that of the circumferential groove. Locking flanges extend in an axial direction from the center section and engage locking notches defined by circumferentially extending ribs formed on the turbine wheel on either side of the circumferential groove.

  • Patent number: 4239451
Abstract: The invention concerns the fastening of a gasket to the inner flange of a stributor of a turbine engine. According to the invention, a ring support has a flange which in turn has a plurality of cutouts arranged to coincide with corresponding cutouts provided in the flange of the distributor. U-shaped clips hold the two flanges together by embracing of the flanges at edges of the cutouts and at the level of the cutouts and are retained in place by a latch.
