  • Publication number: 20230122195
Abstract: A measurement system includes an imaging device, a memory device, an interface and circuitry. The imaging device is configured to obtain a device image a conveyor belt system. The image device is configured to obtain a reference image of a reference point or reference measurement. The reference image can also be the device image. The memory device is configured to store the device image. The interface is configured to facilitate selection of points for a device/part to be measured. The circuitry comprises one or more processors configured to determine a reference measurement for the reference dimension based on the reference image via the interface; determine one or more device measurements based on the device image and the reference measurement; and calculate a plurality of device parameters based on the determined one or more device measurements.

  • Publication number: 20220404384
Abstract: A rotational speed measurement system includes a video device configured to obtain a video of a pulley of a conveyor belt system. The rotational speed measurement system also includes a strobe configured to generate a stroboscopic effect on the obtained video. The rotational speed measurement system also includes a memory device. The rotational speed measurement system also includes a network interface. The rotational speed measurement system also includes one or more processors configured to: generate a stroboscopic window using the strobe and the obtained video, synchronize the strobe with the obtained video using the stroboscopic window, determine a measured rotational speed for the pulley based on the synchronized strobe, and determine belt slippage based on the measured rotational speed.

  • Publication number: 20210315463
Abstract: An instrument and method for non-invasively deriving at least one biometric datum of a living vertebrate. A sensor positioned against the vertebrate measures vibrations within its body. The sensor provides the samples to the instrument as at least one time-stamped stream that correspond to one or more linear and/or rotational acceleration measurement axes. The instrument organizes the samples into windowed streams, separates them into a first set of streams corresponding to physical events of the vertebrate associated with cardiovascular activity and a second set of streams corresponding to physical events of the vertebrate associated with respiration. A datum can be extracted from the first set by autocorrelating it with a time-delayed version thereof to identify at least one characteristic peak of the vertebrate's cardiac cycle. A datum can be extracted from the second set by determining a characteristic frequency of respiration of the vertebrate.

  • Publication number: 20050108658
Abstract: A system for the collection of observations is described which has particular application in the clinical research and aerospace industries. The system has a planning station, for preparing a work package of observations to be collected; a download station, for downloading the work package to at least one primary capture tool, the primary capture tool being used to collect observations according to the work package autonomously; and an upload station, for uploading the observations from the at least one primary capture tool. The invention also concerns a method for collecting observations, as well as a graphical interface therefor. The invention makes use of an atomic database, which obviates the need to reprogram the database when it is to be used for a different set of observations to be collected.

  • Patent number: 5137113
Abstract: A lineman's safety strap assembly for attachment to a body belt, comprises: a pole strap having two ends; a cross belt strap extending between the two ends of the pole strap in order to form therewith a loop; the loop being able to open and close in order to engage and disengage the loop to and from a utility pole; two side straps; coupling clips for detachably connecting each side straps to the body belt; and connectors for connecting the side straps, cross-belt strap and pole strap together in such a manner that a lineman wearing the body belt is retained by the loop when the loop is closed around the pole and the body belt is connected to the side straps; at least one of the side straps being integral and continuous with the cross belt strap; the connectors means comprising a belt slide rigidly connected to at least one of the ends of the pole strap, for receiving and slidably holding the cross-belt strap.
