  • Patent number: 10754418
Abstract: Parts of the body of a user can be used as surfaces for rendering content, such as augmented reality (AR) content. A computing device executing an AR application can detect body parts in an augmented reality view, such as a hand within a field of view of a camera capturing image data for the application. A type of content to be displayed can be determined based on the type and orientation of the body part, in addition to the location and orientation of the device. The content can vary with changes in the orientation of the body part or motion to cause another body part to be visible. A user can make a selection or input for the content by contacting the surface of the body part onto which the content is projected, providing tactile feedback to the user as well as a determinable action for the device.

  • Publication number: 20180330433
Abstract: Among other things, improvements are made in the operation of a computer that processes input data values and generates internal data values that depend on the input data values and on mappings defining the processing. Input data values are received from input data sources. The input data values conform to input data concepts. The input data values are processed to map them according to specified mappings to internal data values that conform to internal data concepts. At least one of the mappings is (a) from input data values that conform respectively to two or more different input data concepts or (b) to internal data values that conform respectively to two or more different internal data concepts, or (c) both. Updated information is applied about characteristics of at least one of the mappings that will affect the internal data values that are the result of the processing, the information being updated as late as the beginning of the processing of the input data values.

  • Patent number: 9436509
Abstract: A pre-provisioned application platform may be provided. First, a plurality of parameters may be received. Then a plurality of pre-provisioned tenants may be created based upon the received plurality of parameters. A request for service may be received and then an actual tenant may be assigned to one of the plurality of pre-provisioned tenants in response to the received request.

  • Patent number: 8775207
Abstract: A system maps components of prescribed treatments to multiple appointments of a patient, tracks patient progress through a course of treatment by recording results of treatment in a clinical information system and replaces multiple manual processes to improve concurrent monitoring of a treatment plan versus actual results. A system schedules multiple appointments for a course of patient treatment. The system uses an input processor for receiving data identifying, a treatment type, a frequency of application of the treatment, a start date of the treatment and a number of applications of the treatment. An appointment processor determines validity of the received data and uses the validated received data to generate data representing a schedule of multiple appointments for receiving the treatment. An interface processor provides data representing the schedule of multiple appointments to a destination system.

  • Patent number: 4467641
Abstract: The device for measuring a parameter pertaining to a rotary element rotating about a shaft carried by a fixed structure, comprises, on the rotary element, at least one sensor (15) with an associated electric circuit and, on the structure, an electric energy generator (3), coupling means (6, 11) for transmitting electric energy from the generator (3) to the sensor (15) and, in return, the signals from the sensor (15) to utilization means (8, 9). The generator (3) produces electric power at a frequency lower than 100 kHz and the circuit associated with the sensor (13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) generates a signal of high frequency which varies within a wide band between 20 and 100 kHz, the coupling being achieved by a transformer (6, 11) in the form of a rotating machine whose structure allows the passage of a wide pass band at least between the frequency of the generator and 100 kHz. This device is in particular applicable to the measurement of the pressure of pneumatic tires of aircraft undercarriages.

  • Patent number: 4029905
Abstract: The device comes within the branch of digital transmission and refers more particularly to the problem of the recognition of a message coded in the "no return to zero" code, which is usually rhythmed by a given frequency. According to the invention, a phase-locked loop is provided for reconstituting the original rhythm from the message, and a phase shifter having an instantaneous action is additionally provided in that loop. The analysis of the reaction of the loop after that phase shift, by means of integrators, gives a statistical data information on the existence of a message. The invention applies more particularly to very noisy NRZ transmission lines.
