Abstract: A rental self-service (“RSS”) computer system, including a processor and a memory, is provided. The processor is programmed to: (i) verify that a policyholder is eligible to receive a replacement rental; (ii) transmit a customized link to the eligible policyholder; (iii) receive an access request for access of a rental self-service portal, (iv) retrieve policyholder data using information extracted from the customized link; (v) pre-populate a portion of a searchable interface of the rental self-service portal using the retrieved policyholder data; (vi) cause rental vehicle data to be displayed to enable the policyholder to view available rental options and select a vehicle class; (vii) calculate a policyholder cost for renting a selected vehicle class; and (viii) cause to be displayed on the user device (a) the calculated policyholder cost and (b) an option to confirm the rental reservation.

Abstract: A rental self-service (“RSS”) computer system for enabling a policyholder of an automobile insurance policy to initiate an insurance replacement rental reservation after submission of an initial loss claim is provided. The RSS computer system includes a processor in communication with a memory. The processor is programmed to: (i) retrieve policyholder insurance data from an insurance provider database using a claim identifier associated with the initial loss claim submission, and a policyholder identifier associated with the policyholder; (ii) verify that the policyholder is eligible to receive an insurance replacement rental; (iii) cause to be displayed on a user device associated with the policyholder a searchable interface configured to enable the policyholder to search for at least one vendor location; (iv) receive a selected vehicle class inputted by the policyholder; (v) calculate a policyholder cost; (vi) display a cost summary; and (vii) receive confirmation of a rental reservation request.

Abstract: In a drying and pressing machine that includes a pressing cylinder, a flow spun stainless steel pressing cylinder is used, produced in one piece and without welding. This cylinder (10) has a reduced thickness. It rests on rollers (10) that comprise glass fiber reinforcement and a resin matrix. Each roller (12) is mounted on a fixed spindle (24) using a ball bearing (26).

Abstract: In an ironing machine with a rotary ironing cylinder (14) comprising heating means (42) housed in an intermediary space (40) between the cylinder (14) and a fixed internal tube (34), air circulation is ensured inside the cylinder. Two ventilators (62, 68) take the air from regions at the ends of the space (40) via aspiration apertures (46, 48) and deliver it to a central area of the space via expressing apertures (50, 52).

Abstract: On leaving a dry pressing or ironing machine, each piece of linen or washing is folded on a folding arm performing a reciprocating movement. The folding arm then bears on an entrance end of a conveyor (28), which is then driven (F2), so as to move the folded piece of linen towards a recovery tank. A freewheel mechanism (52) is simultaneously brought into a disengaged state, which has the effect of lowering a pressing roller (40) and rotating the latter by means of a belt (62). Driving the conveyor (28) in the reverse direction (F3) then brings the pressing roller (40) into the raised position, by means of the freewheel (52), a crank (54) and a rod (56).

Abstract: With a view to saving water consumed in a washing machine (10), the water used during the last two rinsing operations is recovered in a recovery tank (20) so that it may be used during the next washing cycle for the purpose of carrying out the prewash and washing operations and the first rinsing operation. The water is transported to the tank (20) by a filling pipe (22) fitted with a pump (30). The water recovered in the tank (20) is used by opening, in a given order, solenoid valves (32, 34, 36) placed in extraction pipes (24, 26, 28) entering the tank (20) at given locations.

Abstract: Use is made in a drying and ironing machine having a rotary cylinder (10) of a pipe burner (18), which comprises a dense network of microperforations. Microflames mainly form in the microperforations and ensure a heating mainly in the infrared range. It is thus possible to orient the microflames towards that part of the cylinder (10) which is in contact with the linen or laundry. By placing the pipe burner (18) in the bottom of the cylinder and a combustion product recovery pipe in the top, there is a sweep (F2) of a part of the cylinder by the combustion products. Therefore the performance characteristics of the machine are improved and its manufacturing costs are reduced.

Abstract: The outside convex surface of the bent plate forming the trough of a rotating cylinder type ironing machine is carved with two grooves which run parallel to its bending axis and divide the trough into three equal curved sectors. Each of these grooves providing, by reduction of the thickness of the said plate, an axis of less resistance of the latter to bending, such that the adjustable supports of the trough against the outer lining wrapping the rotating cylinder of the machine by the slight bending of the trough occurring along each of the said grooves, regardless of the temperature and the expansion of the trough.

Abstract: A machine for inserting and taking up long and flat textile pieces into and from a drying and ironing machine comprises an oscillating outfit provided with a longitudinal beam, a slide fixed to this beam, two rolling pieces rolling in opposite directions and maintained in the slide, and two movable and symmetrically shaped carriages. Each of these carriages comprises a U-shaped rigid frame with opposed cheeks. One carriage bears a gripper for the prehension of the textile piece, and one of the two carriages is provided with an operating handle which bears a block which comes into friction contact against the edge of the longitudinal beam in order to maintain the front edge of the textile piece longitudinally tensioned.
