  • Patent number: 7393178
Abstract: A variable-pitch stator vane stage in which the vanes are moved by a rotary actuator ring driven by an electric motor. The outer actuator ring is connected by cranks to the vanes and is constrained to move in rotation only, centered on the axis of the turbomachine; the drive system includes two coaxial portions, an inner portion secured to the casing and an outer portion including the actuator ring, with an electrical drive unit being arranged between the two portions.

  • Publication number: 20080031729
Abstract: The invention relates to a variable-pitch control device for a turbomachine compressor, the device comprising a rod, means for fastening a first end of the rod to a pivot of a vane to be controlled, and connection means between a second end of the rod and a control ring. The rod is substantially cylindrical, its first end being engaged in a bore in the pivot of the vane. The device further includes clamping means for clamping the first end of the rod in the bore in the pivot in order to fasten it to said pivot.

  • Patent number: 7322790
Abstract: A system for controlling two stages of variable-pitch stator vanes of a turbomachine, the system comprising a drive element for turning the control ring of one of the stages via a leader member pivotally mounted on the casing, a synchronization bar for transmitting the turning movement of the ring driven by the drive element to the control ring of the other stage via a follower member pivotally mounted on the casing, and an additional pivot member interposed between the follower member and the follower ring, said additional pivot member being pivotally mounted both on the casing and on the follower member.

  • Publication number: 20070292264
Abstract: The stator comprises a casing and at least one stage of variable-pitch stator vanes, said vanes being moved by an actuator ring outside said casing and carried thereby, and said ring being connected by links to the vanes in order to actuate them simultaneously, in which said casing includes a stationary coaxial rail projecting from the outside surface of the casing, and at least three circumferentially spaced-apart groups of wheels are constrained to move along said rail, each group of wheels being coupled to said ring by a radial guidance arrangement, each group of wheels comprising at least two wheels engaged with said rail, and each wheel being mounted to rotate on a radially-oriented pin, said pin being mounted directly on said ring.

  • Patent number: 7300245
Abstract: A variable pitch stator vane stage, said vanes being moved by an automatically-centered rotary actuator ring. The casing carries a stationary coaxial annular rail projecting from its outside surface, and circumferentially spaced apart moving equipments are provided that are constrained to move along said rail, each moving equipment being coupled to the actuator ring via a radial guide arrangement.
