  • Patent number: 10954851
Abstract: A balanced rotary engine for applying torque to a drive shaft. The engine has an outer casing with a main drive case. A cylinder is rotably mounted in the casing and a piston is mounted to move longitudinally within the cylinder. Two connecting arms, each with a connecting end, one of the ends is connected to the piston, and two crankshafts, each one being rotably connected to the other connecting end of the connecting arms. Two drive wheels are contra-rotably connected to the respective first and second crankshafts. A fixed drive ring has a circumferentially disposed drive member surface. The fixed drive ring is mounted in the case so that the drive member surface faces the piston. The two drive wheels mesh with the drive ring.

  • Publication number: 20100108034
Abstract: A rotary engine (1) is characterised by a driven output shaft (30) powered by internal combustion carried out in a cylinder (26) to drive a piston (50) and crankshafts (70, 80) carrying contra-rotating drive gears (10, 12) meshing with a fixed gear ring (88), rotation of the gears (10, 12) transmitting rotary motion to the piston (50) and the cylinder (26), the gear cage base (32), gears (10, 12) and to the output shaft (30). The contra-rotation of the gears (10, 12) on the respective crankshaft (70, 80) provides for a balanced power transmission.

  • Patent number: 7066115
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has a pair of opposed pistons held within an elliptical guide of the engine housing. The pistons reciprocate within a cylinder attached to a shaft. A combustion chamber is formed within the shaft and positioned to be between the pistons. Combustion of fuel causes the pistons to reciprocate and reciprocation of the piston causes rotation of the shaft. A valve having an intake and out take port provide fuel and exhaust to the combustion chamber. A bridge extending upwardly form the bottom of the combustion chamber prevents fuel intake from exiting the exhaust before combustion.

  • Patent number: 5611409
Abstract: The exhaust muffler as a tailpipe head member including a front end mounted inside an expansion chamber of the muffler. The front end of the head member deflects exhaust gas pressure waves passing through the chamber. An annular passage is provided by the space separating the front end of the head member and the expansion chamber. A flow regulating conduit communicates exhaust gas from the annular passage to an outside of the muffler. The front portion of the expansion chamber can be provided with a series of annular flange steps for mounting onto various sizes of annular flanges of exhaust manifolds. The exhaust muffler both reduces noise levels and improves performance of the engine.
