  • Patent number: 10337078
Abstract: Described are solid agglomerates of fine metal particles and methods for manufacturing same. A liquid oily lubricant is used in the manufacture of the solid agglomerates. The manufacturing comprises blending fine metal particles with the liquid oily lubricant and compacting the oily metallic mixture obtained to desired solid form. Advantageously, the solid agglomerates possess a desirable density, a suitable resistance to crumbling and dusting during handling, and they can resist to high temperature and to humidity. Solid agglomerated metal products, according to the invention, may be useful for different purposes such as quality charge material for steel plants, blast furnaces and foundries.

  • Publication number: 20180171650
Abstract: A wall assembly for bearing a concrete slab has a wall framework including a bottom plate, a top plate extending parallelly to the bottom plate and vertically spaced-apart from the bottom plate. Vertically extending stud members are spaced-apart from one another along a length of the wall framework and extend between the bottom plate and the top plate. At least one of the top plate and the bottom plate includes vertical translation components, which are aligned with the vertically extending and spaced-apart stud members, and is engageable with the vertically extending stud members through the vertical translation components. The wall framework can facilitate vertical translation of the at least one of the top plate and the bottom plate relative to the vertically extending stud members upon application of a substantial weight on the wall framework. A concrete containment wall assembly is used in combination with a wall framework.

  • Patent number: 8596101
Abstract: A theft prevention assembly for use on an externally threaded outer end of a fuel tank filling neck includes an outer cap, an internally threaded inner cap for mounting on the filling neck, and a lock assembly defined by a cup attached to the inner cap, a sleeve slidably in the cup and a lock in the sleeve. The outer cap is normally freely rotatable relative to the fixed inner cap, the cup and the sleeve which are releasably interconnected by the lock. When the cup is released from the sleeve, the inner cap is latched to the outer cap by the sleeve, and the two caps can be rotated as a unit to open the filling neck.

  • Patent number: 7543625
Abstract: A braking device configured for use with the counterbalancing system of a garage door. The brake device includes a support bracket, a ratchet wheel, a pawl arm, and a biasing spring. The support bracket is rigidly connected to a fixed structure and has a guiding slot. The ratchet wheel is securely mounted about the overhead shaft of the counterbalancing system and has at least one notch. The pawl arm has first and second ends, the first end of the pawl arm being pivotally connected to the support bracket and the second end of the pawl arm cooperating with the guiding slot and being movable with respect to the support bracket along said guiding slot. The first and second ends of the pawl arm are further connected to flanges of a plug on either side of the overhead shaft. The biasing spring is operatively connected between the support bracket and the pawl arm so as to exert a biasing force for biasing the pawl arm towards the ratchet wheel.

  • Patent number: 7441749
Abstract: A chain guide for guiding a chain within a chain hoist. The chain guide includes a substantially elongated body having an inner side and an outer side, along with first and second extremities. The substantially elongated body is made of a substantially flexible material for curving the substantially elongated body into a substantially arched configuration about a given wheel of the chain hoist. The chain guide also includes first and second chain receiving portions provided adjacent to the first and second extremities respectively of the substantially elongated body, on the inner side thereof. Each chain receiving portion comprises a pair of shoulders protruding from the inner side of the body and defining an open channel shaped and sized for slidably receiving a portion of the chain. The chain guide also includes a deformable connecting portion for interconnecting the first and second chain receiving portions of the chain guide. Also described is a chain hoist provided with the chain guide.

  • Patent number: 7316413
Abstract: A steerable wheelbarrow includes a pair of handles rotatably connected to the rear end of the frame of the wheelbarrow for rotation around a horizontal axis, and a pair of linkages connecting the handles to L-shaped, wheel carrying axles, which are interconnected by a separate linkage, whereby rotation of the handles in opposite directions around the horizontal axis results in rotation of the axles around parallel, vertical axes to turn the wheelbarrow. A stop mechanism limits turning of the wheels to decrease the likelihood of tipping during turning.
