Abstract: Systems and methods of presenting a game and a progressive jackpot. At least one deck of playing cards are provided at a gaming device equipped with the progressive controller. A progressive wager is accepted from a player qualifying the player to participate in a progressive. A base game of blackjack is presented including dealing cards to form a player hand and a house hand. The outcome of the first blackjack game is determined and winnings are paid or bets are collected according to blackjack rules. It is also determined if the first dealt player card of the player hand has a rank of two. When the first dealt player card has the rank of two, a number of consecutive two-ranked cards in the player hand is determined. The number of consecutive two-ranked cards is compared to a pay table defining a progressive jackpot award for the consecutive two-ranked cards.
