  • Publication number: 20230050483
Abstract: A method and device for identifying pressure sensors of a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) of a motor vehicle. The method includes emission of a sensor activation signal, receiving of signals from at least two different sensors following activation, attenuation and amplification of the signals received, determination of a value indicative of the power of the signals received, and identification of the spatial position of at least one sensor on the basis of values indicative of the power of the signal received. A device configured as a TPMS tool is used for implementing the method.

  • Patent number: 11400772
Abstract: A method and device may be used for scanning communication protocols for a sensor of a motor vehicle electronic tire pressure monitoring system. The method may include selecting a make and a model of a motor vehicle. The method may include transmitting one or more activation signals. The one or more activation signals may be transmitted in sequential order according to a scanning protocol. The scanning protocol may be based on a predefined parameter. Each of the one or more activation signals may be associated with a different communication protocol. The method may include stopping the transmission of the one or more activation signals on a condition that a signal from a sensor is received.

  • Publication number: 20220144024
Abstract: Described herein are devices for an electronic system for checking the pressure of the tyres of a motor vehicle, said device comprising at least one means for activating tyre sensors, a means for receiving signals from the sensors, an electronic unit configured to store and/or process information conveyed by the signals emitted by said sensors, and a means for communicating with an on-board computer of the motor vehicle with a view to transmitting the information from at least one of said sensors.

  • Patent number: 11279183
Abstract: A system and method for resetting or reprogramming tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) tire sensor data in a vehicle control system or electronic control unit (ECU). The system and method uses a single TPMS relearning tool which (a) receives a first TPMS tire sensor data signals from the TPMS tire sensors, (b) initiates the vehicle control system to enter into a relearning or resetting mode, and (c) re-emits the first TPMS tire sensor data signal as a second TPMS tire sensor data signal to the vehicle control system to reset the vehicle control system to the present TPMS tire sensor data. In one example, the TPMS relearning tool decodes, stores in memory, encodes and transmits a second TPMS tire sensor data signal which simulates the first TPMS tire sensor data signal.
