    Abstract: Novel pharmaceutical compositions that are particularly suitable for oral administration of superoxide dismutases (SODs) and that have good bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy. These compositions are made up of a combination of a superoxide dismutase and at least one lipids or proteins. The lipids are exemplified by ceramides, and the proteins are exemplified by prolamines or polymer films based on such prolamines. A pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle can also be included in the composition.
