It includes, in parallel with the varistor (4), a resistor (7) causing, after the short-circuiting of the gas-discharge arrestor (3), the heating of the thermal-fuse element (5) so as to trigger the thermal disconnection of the device.

Abstract: The device relates to a gas lightning arrester comprising a tight enclosure and at least two electrodes (2a, 2b). In the enclosure is placed a powdery mineral addition agent. This addition agent is a mixture of elementary or mixed metal oxides globally corresponding to the general formula Al X.sub.a Y.sub.b O.sub.c, in which formula X and Y respectively represent at least one alkaline or alkaline-earth metal, a is between 0.02 and 1.5, b is between 0 and 0.25 and c has the necessary value to comply with the valency rules. Can be used for the protection of the telephone lines.

Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-layer capacitor. It has internal electrodes extending over a part at least of each layer and connected electrically and thermally alternately to one or other of two terminals extending over a junction edge of the capacitor and over a part at least of a lateral edge adjacent said junction edge. To each of the terminals is soldered an electrical connection adapted to provide also heat drainage. Such a structure improves the drainage of the heat dissipated in the capacitor during operation under high reactive power or at high frequency.
