  • Patent number: 9085867
Abstract: A water-gate is intended to withstand pressure exerted by a liquid. The water-gate includes an essentially flat shell plate and a plurality of thin cores extending along the length of the shell plate, the thin cores being substantially parallel to one another. Each core is solidly connected to the shell plate and pierced with multiple disjoint holes. According to the disclosure, the water-gate comprises at least one stiffener formed by assembling multiple elements that are aligned along a longitudinal axis of the stiffener and that each extend between the cores without passing through the cores. Each element may be solidly connected to a face of at least one core around one of the holes.

    Assignee: ALSTOM RENEWABLE TECHNOLOGIES
    Inventors: Michel Cardis, Alain Michel
  • Patent number: 8992121
Abstract: A leaf for a mitre gate is provided. The leaf for a mitre gate may include: a skin plate intended for withstanding a pressure exerted by a liquid; and at least two uprights respectively located on either side of the skin plate, the uprights being secured to the skin plate. The skin plate is in the overall shape of a cylinder portion, the longitudinal axis of the cylinder being essentially parallel to the uprights. Each upright extends overall according to a generatrix of the cylinder. Each upright includes at least one bearing element, arranged to project relative to the skin plate and each bearing element includes a bearing surface, for supporting the bearing element against a lock wall or another leaf of the mitre gate. The bearing surface of each bearing element is aligned with a plane that is tangential to the skin plate.

  • Patent number: 4934867
Abstract: This invention relates to a sealing device ensuring lateral tightness of a weir gate with respect to the corresponding lock wall, of the type comprising a lip disposed over the whole length of each lateral face of the gate and a rounded rib extending the leading face of said gate, wherein the rounded rib projects transversely beyond the plane of the lock wall, so that its periphery, which takes a circular form, comes into abutment against the lateral face of a cylindrical chamber made in the lock wall. In this way, the displacements of the gate do not affect tightness.
