  • Patent number: 5881106
Abstract: To carry out the processing operations relating to the implementation of a Viterbi algorithm, an integrated circuit comprising a processor and a coprocessor is made. The coprocessor is constructed so as to carry out operations of accumulation, comparison and selection in order to limit or reduce the work of a processor that would have to carry out these operations. By judiciously choosing the structure of the coprocessor, it is possible to make this co-processor sufficiently programmable so that it is suited to various situations of implementation of the Viterbi algorithm.

  • Patent number: 4806139
Abstract: In the production of moulded glass articles, difficulty arises from the risks of adhesion of the glass to the surfaces of the mould, which is made unserviceable, at least for a time. A permanent anti-adherent coating for glassmaking moulds is provided on the mould cavity surfaces, by a metal layer comprising a molybdenum alloy containing 30 to 55% Mo and less than 4% iron. The metal layer may also contain nickel and chromium in significant quantities.

  • Patent number: 4491542
Abstract: The invention pertains to the use of an organic compound of animal origin as a filler in the preparation of compound friction materials. The fibrous protein type compound has a high content of hydroxyproline. This protein may be used in the fibrous state or in the state of powder. It may be collagen. This invention applies to the preparation of friction materials offering a very low rate of wear.

  • Patent number: 3952164
Abstract: A speech transmission system employing a semi-vocoder comprising a spectral analyzer and a spectral synthesizer for the upper frequency range of the speech signal. The speech signal in the low frequency range base band is transmitted by using delta modulation and the delta-modulated base band signal is used directly in the receiver as a voice excitation signal for the spectral synthesizer.
