  • Publication number: 20050016318
Abstract: A pedal has a control device (2) including a mobile pedal (6), elements for returning (20, 22) the control device returning the pedal (6) in its idle position as well as a force-feedback mechanism (4) to produce a hard spot when the pedal (6) is depressed. The force-feedback mechanism (4) includes an electric motor (28) designed to act on the control device (2), via one-way linking elements (36) and gear reduction elements, in the same direction as the return elements (20, 22). The one-way link prevents any action of the force-feedback mechanism (4) on the control device (3) in the direction opposite to the direction of action of the return elements (20, 22). The one-way link advantageously includes a clearance which enables the electric motor (28) to rotate in the direction allowing it to act on the control device (2) without acting immediately on the device.

  • Patent number: 6091039
Abstract: The gas-insulated line comprises a conductor (1A) disposed inside a case (3A) filled with a dielectric gas under pressure. A power capacitor (5) is electrically connected to the conductor while being disposed inside a compartment (3P) secured to the case (3A) and filled with a dielectric gas under pressure. The dielectric gas present in the compartment (3P) provides electrical insulation for the compartment relative to the power capacitor (5). In this way, electrical insulation of the gas-insulated line between the conductor (1A) and the case (3A) is maintained inside the compartment (3P) in which the power capacitor (5) and the conductor (1A) are electrically interconnected. This results in the gas-insulated line of the invention retaining small bulk and the ability to be used on the ground or buried.

  • Patent number: 5438256
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for measuring the current in a high voltage overhead line (A). The apparatus comprises at least one device (2) for detecting and measuring the magnetic field induced by the line (A), the detector being arranged on the ground adjacent the line (A), the current being deduced by calculation.

  • Patent number: 5153804
Abstract: A hybrid current limiter comprising a first winding of non-superconducting conductive material having a large number of turns and electrically connected in series with a superconductoring coil of low self-inductance and placed in a cryostat, and a second winding of non-superconducting conductive material having a small number of turns, said second winding being closely coupled with said first winding in such a manner as to obtain low overall inductance, the second winding being connected in parallel with the series circuit constituted by the first winding and the superconducting coil.

  • Patent number: 5121281
Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit breaker for limiting a direct current and comprising a combination of first means including superconducting windings for limiting the current and second means for interrupting the residual current. The invention is applicable to interrupting high tension direct currents.

  • Patent number: 4910626
Abstract: A current limiter comprising a cryostat provided with a first insulating feedthrough for an inlet conductor and a second insulating feedthrough for an outlet conductor, and a conductor running from one feedthrough to the other inside the tank, said conductor being constituted at least in part by a superconducting material, the cryostat being filled with a fluid at a temperature which is low enough to maintain said material in the superconducting state, said portion made of superconducting material including at least one portion comprising superconducting wires (7, 8) wound in opposite direction windings on two coaxial insulating formers (14, 15). Respective the ends of each of the superconducting wires (7, 8) are connected firstly to the inlet conductor and secondly to the outlet conductor via identical elementary current feeds (21A, 22A).
