  • Publication number: 20240023992
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for detecting a pressure, of the type including a detection element on which a pressure is exerted, a transducer connected to the detection element and an elastically deformable shell. The shell is made of biocompatible and sterilizable material, has two opposing walls and an insertion opening, and the detection element includes at least one elastically deformable tube, the tube includes a portion arranged in the shell, the tube is closed at one end and filled with a fluid, the other end of the tube being open, arranged outside the shell and connected to the transducer.

  • Publication number: 20210113242
Abstract: An assistance device and an associated obstetrical instrument, in particular of the forceps type, for extracting a fetus during childbirth having two branches. Each branch being equipped at one end with a gripping handle and at the other end with cephalic blades. The instrument further includes a measurement device using the blades and connector between the measurement device and the blade. The measurement device includes: a pressure measurement instrument configured to measure the pressure exerted by the blade on the fetus, a position measuring instrument to measure the positioning of the obstetrical instrument, a power supply, and a transmitter configured to transmit the measurements to a processing unit.

  • Publication number: 20190374119
Abstract: The present invention provides a method (30) of determining mechanical properties of the pelvic cavity of a person or an animal, the pelvic cavity including a plurality of organs and the method comprising a step (34) during which pressure is measured at one or more points of the surface of one of the organs of said pelvic cavity, and during which, simultaneously, movements of a plurality of organs of said pelvic cavity are also measured. The present invention also provides a measuring device for measuring pressure in an organ of the pelvic cavity in order to perform the above method (30). The measuring device comprises an optical fiber pressure sensor mounted in a non-metallic housing, and a closed flexible reservoir mounted in said non-metallic housing and having a surface, in particular a flexible surface, that constitutes a pressure measuring surface.

  • Publication number: 20080021265
Abstract: A procedure for treating pelvic organ prolapses in a female patient using a synthetic, biological or mixed implantable prosthesis includes steps of: a) preparing the patient as for a conventional laparoscopy; b) performing rectovaginal dissection down to the levator-ani; c) dissecting the vesico-vaginal space, preferably up to the bladder trigone; d) providing a two part prosthesis including an anterior part and a posterior part, each having a central body and two arm like strap portions; e) placing the posterior part into the rectovaginal space and pressing through and anchoring posterior strap portions into the right and left puborectal muscles; f) placing anterior part into the vesico-vaginal space; g) passing the anterior strap portions, once or twice, through holes of the posterior part and attaching to the uterosacral ligaments; h) adjusting concerned organs by applying tension to strap portions; i) closing the patient.
