  • Patent number: 4872645
Abstract: A coil spring compressor includes two jaws, one of which is fixed at one end of a guide tube, while the other jaw is slidably mounted on such tube and connected to a slide (32) provided with a radial finger member in the shape of a wedge extending through a slot in the tube. The slidable jaw has a body defining a bore and from which extend two claws or clamps and that is extended by a screw-threaded skirt. A radial groove having a shape complementary to the shape of the radial finger member is provided in the wall of the bore and cooperates with the finger member in the relative locking of the two elements, while a tapped ring screwed on the screw-threaded skirt completes their locking together.

  • Patent number: 4774864
Abstract: A screw-driver includes, disposed inside a driving handle, a torque limiter having a torsion spring in which one end of a helical friction band carries a ring connected by axial splines to a stem of the tool while the corresponding end of the torsion spring is fixed to a ring connected to the stem by a helical spline. An adjusting sleeve solely movable in rotation is screwed on the stem and, when it rotates, causes an axial displacement of the stem and modifies the relative angular setting of the two end rings, i.e. the torsion of the spring and consequently the value of the sliding torque.

  • Patent number: 4581957
Abstract: This tool defines an inner opening (2) having a polygonal inscribed profile having six or twelve angles, said profile comprising grooves (3) at the place of said angles for the purpose of clearing the edges of the nut or bolt body to be driven, these grooves (3) being disposed between bearing surfaces (4) adapted to come into contact with the flat surfaces of said body so as to transmit the tightening or untightening torque.

  • Patent number: 3984997
Abstract: A rotary coupling of the torque limiter type comprises two bodies rotating axially one within the other, with intermediate connecting elements inserted between respective surfaces of said bodies and subject to the action of springs acting in the tangential direction. The connection between the two bodies is effected by means at least partially deformable adapted to rub coaxially on one of said bodies, thereby receiving the motion of the other body, through a drive device combined with elastic means of the torsion spring type. The elastic means may be constituted by at least one torsion bar arranged for example axially to the coupling. The intermediate connecting elements, receiving the effect of the torsion means, may be constituted by shoes.
