  • Patent number: 7431310
Abstract: A device (1) for mounting the components of a safety binding on a ski, comprising: a longitudinal strip (2) that has, on either side, a guide (10) with a break in its middle; two units (5, 6) each intended to accommodate one of the components of the safety binding, each unit being mounted on said strip (2) with the possibility of adjusting its longitudinal position by sliding in said guides (10); a plurality of points (20-23) for mounting the longitudinal strip (2) on the upper surface of the ski, some of these points (20, 23) allowing longitudinal displacement, relative to the upper surface of the ski, of the area of the longitudinal strip in which they are located; a base (4, 7) intended to come into contact with the upper surface of the ski and on which said longitudinal strip (2) rests, said base extending over a width in excess of that of said longitudinal strip.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 14, 2005
Date of Patent: October 7, 2008
    Assignee: Skis Rossignol
Inventors: Denis Redor, Michel Mercier, Pierre Gignoux, Christian Allary, Michel Echevin

  • Patent number: 7021648
Abstract: A board for gliding for downhill skiing, having, at least in its underfoot zone: a lower gliding surface composed of a sole plate bordered by metal edges; a topsheet substantially parallel to the lower gliding surface, on either side of the center longitudinal plane of the board; lateral reinforcement elements located in line with at least one part of the bead of the metal edges; lateral faces extending between the top part of the lateral reinforcement elements and the topsheet, said lateral faces having recesses located below the plane of the topsheet and opening out in the latter; wherein these recesses form a hollowed zone connected to the reinforcement elements, and wherein the lower part of the recesses has a slope that is inclined longitudinally relative to the lower gliding surface and the topsheet.

  • Patent number: 6834880
Abstract: A board for gliding for downhill skiing, of “shell” type construction having, at lest in an underfoot zone a lower gliding surface composed of a sole plate bordered by metal edges and a topsheet substantially parallel to the lower gliding surface, on either side of the center longitudinal plane of the board. The underfoot zone further includes lateral faces extending between the metal edges and the topsheet, the lateral faces having recesses located below the plane of the topsheet and opening out in the latter. The base of the recess forms a slope that is inclined longitudinally relative to the lower gliding surface and the topsheet.

  • Patent number: 6783145
Abstract: A raising platform for a binding for a board for gliding over snow, including a planar central zone capable of receiving the front stop and the heel piece of the binding, and two lateral portions of which the lower edge is intended for interacting with the board for gliding, wherein the lower edge of the lateral portions has, in a longitudinal plane, a certain gradient relative to the plane of the central zone.
