  • Publication number: 20200037237
Abstract: The aim of this invention it to accelerate the Network selection avoiding performing multiple and/or full band scan to detect all the available networks that offer a data service for a mobile device. More specifically, the mobile device make use of its Preferred Public Land Mobile Network list which is built for a given geographic region based on a processing of its own previous learning and the learning of other mobile devices by a processing platform in order to prioritize the networks. The selection mechanism aims to reduce the time and the energy consumed to attach to a network. The present invention describes a method to establish a data communication between a mobile device (tracker), having IoT mobile device system, and a station terminal.

  • Publication number: 20200029272
Abstract: The invention provides a method for data communication of a mobile device on a local area network, having a mobile device communication system, on an authorized radiofrequency band. The method comprising a step of determining a data communication mode being performed using a piece of geographical localization information obtained from a mobile communication network or a satellite-based positioning system; or a data communication mode obtained from a data frame exchange on said local area network. If no of this information is available the mobile device enters a silent state.

  • Publication number: 20020047781
Abstract: An electronic tag includes an integrated circuit for communicating with an external unit and a detector for detecting at least one physical variable related to the preservation, storage or packaging of a product to which the tag is to be affixed. According to the invention, the detector has an irreversible non-volatile memory for the physical variable or a threshold value thereof. The internal state of the detector being self-modified in the presence of the physical variable or when the physical variable exceeds the threshold value, even in the absence of an electric power source.

  • Patent number: 5821877
Abstract: Disclosed is a system of communication between a fixed post and moving bodies that may arrive simultaneously in the radius of action of this post. This system uses an exchange protocol that begins with an initializing signal (INIT) common to the different moving bodies that arrive and continues with the transmission of an identification signal by each moving body, this transmission being done at the end of a duration (T+Nt) related to the value (N) of a part of an intrinsic specific code associated with the moving body, this duration being measured from the initialization signal. Preferably, the moving body transmits the beginning of its specific code, for example the first character of this code, followed by a random word having stipulated characteristics such that the terminal can detect whether several moving bodies have transmitted the same first character simultaneously. The post then asks them to transmit a second character in order to distinguish them from one another.

  • Patent number: 5583330
Abstract: The system has a reader of electronic labels comprising several devices for the transmission/reception of electromagnetic waves, offset angularly about a median axis so that, when the reader is placed in the vicinity of a label and irrespectively of their relative orientation, at least a part of the lines of the magnetic field generated by at least one of said transmission/reception devices can get looped by passing into the coil of the label in the direction of its axis. The label has a foil made of amagnetic and conductive material placed against the antenna and parallel to it to form a reflective screen for the electromagnetic waves. Application to the contact-free identification of objects, notably metal objects, such as gas cylinders.

  • Patent number: 5569879
Abstract: A micromodule includes a slotted metal strip and a perforated dielectric strip having a thickness of less than 70 micrometers, preferably between 30 and 50 micrometers. The metal strip is bonded to the dielectric strip so as to overlie the slots in the metal strip. A chip is bonded to the dielectric strip and connected to the metal strip through the perforations in the dielectric strip. An insulating resin layer encapsulates the chip and is bonded to the dielectric strip. The micromodule may be used, for example, in a smart card, as a radiating antenna, or as an identification label.

  • Patent number: 5539188
Abstract: The system includes an electronic label (1) and a data terminal (6). The electronic label (1) is provided with a device for the emitting of electromagnetic waves (8) fixed to a ring (2) of the bottom of the protective bell (5). The data terminal (6) is coupled to a detachable read/write head (7) that can be inserted, as desired, into the bell (5) directly facing the label (1) bearing ring (2) to transmit information elements between the data terminal (6) and the label. The system may be used for the automatic identification of gas cylinder type articles.

  • Patent number: 5470411
Abstract: The method consists in pressure bonding a first strip to a second strip through a bonding press, marking each of the strips with the pattern pitches and juxtaposing the pattern pitch markings of each strip at the time of the bonding by extension of at least one strip with respect to another and by differential heating of each of the opposing strips to cause a relative shift, by expansion, of the two strips with respect to each other.
