  • Patent number: 8039069
Abstract: A composite part including a fibrous assembly including at least two preforms each of which includes layers of fibrous cloths. Each preform includes at least one opening or protruding structure which is substantially complementary to the structure of the other preform. The first and second preforms are engagement with one another and are firmly connected by a polymer matrix being injected around the preforms.

  • Patent number: 8025580
Abstract: A rotary torque shaft including a tube made of a composite material having a plastic matrix and a metallic tubular insert fixedly mounted around a recessed longitudinal outer surface portion of the tube so as to link the tube mechanically to a functional mechanical assembly which is supported by the insert. The insert has in cross section a non-circular inner surface profile which is complementary in shape to a profile of the outer surface of the tube.

  • Publication number: 20090005184
Abstract: This shaft comprises firstly a tube made of a composite material having a plastic matrix and secondly a metallic tubular insert arranged fixedly around a longitudinal portion of the tube and designed to link the tube mechanically to a functional mechanical assembly which is supported by the insert and is for instance a pin. To significantly improve the mechanical performance of this shaft in torsion, the insert has in cross section a noncircular inner profile, for example an oblong shape, to which the outer surface of the tube is adapted in a substantially complementary manner.

  • Publication number: 20070293110
Abstract: The fibrous assembly (1) is intended to constitute a fibrous reinforcement for a composite part. It comprises at least two preforms (11, 13, 15, 17), each of which includes stacked fibrous cloths. Each preform includes at least one structure (111, 131, 151), the structure (111) of a first preform (11) being substantially complementary to the structure (131) of the second preform (13). The first and second preforms are adapted to be fitted one into the other by engagement of their respective structures, then firmly connected by the injection of polymer resin.

  • Publication number: 20050179186
Abstract: The device according to the invention comprises a rigid body fast with the structure and defining a tapped bore for receiving a rod fast with the connector. This rod is externally threaded in manner complementary to the tapped bore in order to allow the distance between the connector and the structure to be freely adjusted. In order to lock the connector reliably, a rigid ring is mounted around the rod, being both free in axial translation along this rod and linked in rotation with this rod. A rigid bush for reversibly blocking the ring in abutment against the body is movably connected around this body. The invention is particularly applicable to the locking of components inside a vehicle with the fuselage of this vehicle, particularly in an aircraft.
