  • Patent number: 7500416
Abstract: In a vibration filter for a transmission with automatic gear changing for a motor vehicle, including a torsion damper disposed between an input or driving element arranged to be driven in rotation by the crankshaft of the motor vehicle engine, and an output or driven shaft arranged to be coupled to an input shaft or driven shaft of the transmission, the torsion damper includes elastic means: the stiffness of the damper is variable and is obtained by virtue of the said elastic means, which are in the form of helical springs oriented substantially radially; the input element is a primary flywheel (10) which has at its radially inner periphery an axial flange (12) for supporting a bearing (13) which centers and guides in rotation a secondary inertial flywheel (20) constituting the output element.

  • Patent number: 5779550
Abstract: A torsion damping device having two coaxial parts (12, 3) mounted so as to move angularly with respect to each other counter to elastic member (7), including members (71, 72, 73) acting between radial lugs (55, 65) offset circumferentially and belonging to two phasing washers (5, 6). The phasing washers (5, 6) are mounted in reverse orientations and concentrically, the outer washer surrounding the inner washer. The inner washer (5) is pivotally mounted on a first one (3) of the coaxial parts (3, 12), while the outer washer (6) is pivotally mounted on the first or the second of the coaxial parts (3, 12).

  • Patent number: 5755312
Abstract: A torsion device comprising an input part (20) comprising a piston (24) equipped with a guide washer (28) and an output part comprising an annular disc (36), and of the type comprising a series of lugs (44) folded radially inwards and which cooperate with the section (42) of a peripheral edge (40) of the disc (36). The edge (40) comprises a series of slots (48) distributed angularly like the lugs (44) of the first portion and dimensioned so as to allow the axial introduction of the lugs (44) into the slots (48) then the axial retention of the second portion (22) inside the first portion (20) by the relative rotation of these two portions by a fraction of a turn, in the manner of a bayonet-type mounting.

  • Patent number: 5690199
Abstract: The hydrokinetic coupling apparatus includes a housing (12) capable of being rotatably locked on a driving shaft, a turbine wheel (14) capable of being rotatably locked on a driven shaft and a locking clutch (10) acting between the housing (12) and the turbine wheel (14), the said clutch including a piston (2) mounted so as to be axially mobile with respect to the turbine wheel (14), whilst being rotatably locked to the latter, and a counter-piston (3) associated with the housing (12). The piston (12) is interposed axially between the turbine wheel (14) and a mass (3), forming a counter-piston, pivotally mounted on the housing (12). The said mass (3) is coupled elastically to the said housing (12) by means of springs (7) mounted at the outer periphery of the mass (3) between a transverse wall of the housing (12) and a radial projection (31) on the mass (3).

  • Patent number: 5590750
Abstract: The torsion damper for a lock-up clutch (4) comprises two coaxial parts (40, 60) which are movable with respect to each other against circumferentially acting springs (50), namely an input part in the form of a guide ring (40) and an output part (60) called a damper plate, in which the guide ring (40) comprises a retaining portion (42, 142 . . . ) and engagement portions (45, 145 . . . ) for the external retention of the springs (50) and for their engagement, respectively, while the damper plate (60) also has engagement portions (65, 165 . . . ) for engagement with the springs (50). The damper plate (60) has a retaining portion (61, 161 . . . ) in the form of a half shell, the engagement portions of the damper plate (60) are carried by the said retaining portion of the damper plate (60), and the retaining portions of the guide ring (40) and of the damper plate (60) are offset axially with respect to each other.
