  • Patent number: 8362963
Abstract: A satellite antenna for transmitting and receiving an electromagnetic signal has at least one parabolic reflector, a source arm, and a high-power amplifier, in which antenna the high-power amplifier includes a traveling wave tube on the source arm and a high-voltage power supply off the source arm and adapted to supply power to the tube. A satellite mobile telecommunications station includes such a satellite antenna and a storage structure into which the antenna is folded and in which the high-voltage power supply sits.

  • Patent number: 6222493
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for transmitting and receiving microwaves including a planar radiating element. The device is characterized in that the radiating element (60) has substantially orthogonal transmit and receive ports (68, 66) and the relative phase of the transmit and receive signals and the shape of the radiating element are such that the transmit and receive signals, whose frequencies are different, are circularly polarized in opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 6034645
Abstract: A microwave resonant antenna includes a ring whose peripheral length determines the wavelength guided in the antenna. The ring incorporates meanders or crenellations. These have substantially radial parts so that, overall, they do not produce any field interfering with the circular polarization of a signal to be transmitted. An antenna of this kind lends itself to miniaturization. It is omnidirectional over a wide angle with a high degree of purity of circular polarization.

  • Patent number: 5489913
Abstract: A miniaturized radio antenna element for use at VHF and UHF is designed to operate well short of resonance. It comprises a small flat cavity in the surface of which is formed at least one radiating slot very much smaller than a normal resonant slot. However, an impedance matching circuit is often required at the ports of this antenna.

  • Patent number: 5434580
Abstract: A multifrequency radiating device comprising at least one radiating element (11) of a first type and at least one radiating element (12) of a second type, the elements being associated on a common surface (10) in order to constitute an array antenna. The radiating elements of the first type (16) are elements of the microstrip type and the elements of the second type (19, 20) are elements of the wire type, the radiating elements of the first type (16) acting in a first frequency range and the radiating elements of the second type (19, 20) acting in a second frequency range. The invention is particularly applicable to microwave antennas.
