Abstract: A system for ciphering data for transmission by a communication device is provided. The system includes a memory device having a memory buffer a first access port connected to the memory buffer and a second access port connected to the memory buffer. The system also has a data processing processor connected to the first access port via a first bus and a ciphering processor connected to the second access port via a second bus. The first access port and the second access port each provide mutually independent access to the memory buffer. The second bus is not connected to the first bus. The data processing processor is adapted to receive the data and provide the data to the memory buffer over the first bus. The ciphering processor is adapted to retrieve the data from the memory buffer over the second bus, generate ciphered data from the data, generate integrity check information for the ciphered data using the data and provide the ciphered data to the memory buffer over the second bus.

Abstract: A motorized breakdown vehicle, in particular for a tank, which vehicle includes a chassis and a removable platform mounted directly on the chassis. The platform can be organized so as to support equipment required for maintenance and/or repair operations, such equipment including, in particular, stowage lockers. In a preferred embodiment, the chassis is a tank chassis, and the platform is mounted on the rear portion of the chassis.

Abstract: An acoustic fluid velocity measuring system includes mutually perpendicular arms disposed in the direction of the rectangular components of the fluid velocity, with each arm supporting two transmitting and two receiving electro-acoustic transducers. Pulses of ultrasonic energy are transmitted and received in and against the direction of fluid flow. The transducers in each arm are arranged in separate electrical loops, each of which provides an output at a different frequency. The frequencies are compared to measure fluid speed and direction which appear on a digital display. The measurements are independent of ambient temperature and the transducers are heated so that the system operates under ice forming meteorological conditions.
