  • Patent number: 7714792
Abstract: An array antenna with reflector(s) (AR) comprises i) an array (RS) of at least two feeds (S1-S5), including a central feed (S1), arranged and positioned so as to transmit and/or receive beams (F1-F5) in chosen directions, ii) beam-forming means responsible for controlling the amplitude and phase of each of the feeds by means of amplitude/phase laws applied to their ports and providing an appropriate amplification level, in order for each feed (S1-S5) to transmit a chosen radiation pattern (forming a beam and comprising a main lobe) intended to cover a chosen zone (Z1-Z5), and iii) at least one reflector (RC) provided with a surface (SU) specifically for reflecting the beams delivered by the feeds and/or intended for the latter, and shaped tree-dimensionally so as to reflect the beam delivered by each feed (S1-S5) by spreading its energy such that it covers the chosen associated zone, that the main lobe of the radiation pattern associated with the central feed (S1) defines a primary coverage (CP) fully includi

  • Patent number: 4914161
Abstract: Ionically conductive macromolecular material constituted by a salt in solution in a polymer, the said salt comprising an anion present in the form of a polyether chain one end of which carries an anionic function and which can be applied to the obtention of electrochemical accumulators.

  • Patent number: 4735379
Abstract: This invention relates to a multi-target guiding system for missile, wherein it is provided with an electronic scanning antenna; it effects a classification of the targets by order of priority and orients the missile by controlling the control surfaces towards the target of highest priority. During classification, the system causes the direction of advance of said missile to vary in order to maintain said targets in its domain of action for as long as possible.

  • Patent number: 4019379
Abstract: A method for measuring the surface roughness of a workpiece, comprising filling two capacitors with a compressed gas at specific pressures; applying to the rough surface of the workpiece to be studied the open end of a bell-form sensor connected to a second one of the capacitors; evacuating simultaneously and individually to atmosphere the two capacitors, the first through a calibrated throttle, the second through the leak existing between the edge of said sensor bell and the rough surface of the workpiece; measuring, during evacuation, the difference between the pressures in the two capacitors; and deducing from this pressure differential, by standardization with sample pieces of known roughness, the roughness of the piece studied.
